On June 22nd. Anita ar r ived in

S a l t i l l o

v;ith

the

new CMC Rally Vlagon and

seven

young people. During

the

next

six v/eeks they sang specials, helped

prepare

materials

fo r

and h eld th re e Spanish VBS,

ib re hours

went

into p r epa ra ti on fo r the

two Spanish Christian Service Camps vjhere they worked  veiy-hard-

with the Mexican youth .

The second

week of July

was Spanish Touth Omp

at Cedars with

about 125 young people

from

a doaen or more villages. Adiolts came in for the evening services bidnging kttend-

ance up to

around

150 in the evenings.

The

Northrups rejoiced in that both camps were

planned, directed and taught by the Mexican people. Jim Claire

awakened

everyone by

playing reveille on

his

trun^jet,.his truij? et specials

were much

nore appreciated

in

the

evening

se rv ices

Cancers ranged from grandparents to

nursing babies, : .9 Summer Corpsmen got a real workout in this

camp

since we really had

about

three camps in one. Both caries now have their own administration and are

making

plans to con^letely finance both camps next year. To some this

may

look

like

a l i t t le

step but as

far

as

we

missionaries are concerned

i t

is

a big leap fon^ard

in

faith.
