Kia Canada Inc. recorded its best ever month in April shatteringthe 6000 sales mark for the first time in its eleven year history with6777 vehicles sold sustaining a 34 per cent growth versus previousyear. Kia Canada continues to lead the market in 2011 with thelargest percentage increase of 28 per cent year-to-date when mea-suring top ten volume manufacturers in Canada including outpac-ing industry results. Growth continues to be consistent across thecountry with four straight months that Kia Canada has sustainedincreased record growth in all four regions of the country. These

strong sales results have also contributed to the industry-best sales streak of 28 consecutive months.

“It is quite evident that Canadians continue to embraceour world-class design, technology and safety while appreciat-ing the benefit of our fuel efficient vehicle line-up” said MariaSoklis, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) KiaCanada Inc. “The result is an all-time record month exceeding6000 sales in April for the first time with three vehicle linescontributing with over 1000 sales each for the first time.”

The Kia Forte line-up including the sedan, 5-Door andKoup was the volume leader in April with 1745 vehiclesreported sustaining a 35.7 per cent increase. The Georgiabuilt 2011 Kia Sorento Compact Utility Vehicle (CUV) contin-ues to provide significant volume with 1273 vehicles reportednationally charting a 31 per cent increase in comparison toApril 2010. The Kia Soul, Urban Utility Vehicle reporting 1128units or a 41.7 per cent increase versus previous year.

“The Kia brand is currently in the second year of anaggressive design-led transformation and recent additionsincluding the all-new 2011 Optima mid-size sedan andlater in the year with the all-new 2012 Kia Rio subcompactwill continue to drive demand with both our customersand conquest brands in 2011.” said Robert Staffieri,Director of Marketing Kia Canada Inc. “Award winningvehicles like the Optima and others including IIHS topsafety picks and five star crash ratings have proven to be awinning formula along with design for Canadians.”

The month of April also featured the debut of the all-new2012 Kia Rio sedan and 2012 Kia Soul urban utility vehicle atthe New York International Auto Show. Additionally, the all-new 2012 Kia Rio 5-door made its North American debut. Thefourth generation Rio continues the design-led product offen-sive with a revolutionary re-design noting both style andpremium presence in the compact car segment. Both varia-tions of the Rio and Soul feature impressive Gasoline DirectInjection (GDI) technology that offers more power, increasedfuel efficiency resulting in less emissions. It was also revealedthat the 2012 Optima will be manufactured at the Kia MotorsManufacturing facility $1 billion automotive assembly andmanufacturing plant in West Point Georgia. The Optima mid-size sedan will be built along with the Sorento CUV for NorthAmerican demand.

The thriller ‘Limitless’ tells the tale of a 'magic' pill that isable to enhance the powers of the mind and stars Robert DeNiro and Bradley Cooper. Co-starring is a MaseratiGranTurismo painted Grigio Granito with Avorio interiors.

This is not the first time that a Maserati has made ascreen appearance: in fifty years of cinema, actors of thecalibre of Alberto Sordi, Vittorio Gassman, DonaldSutherland, David Niven, Peter Sellers and Alain Delonhave all climbed behind the wheel of a Maserati.

In the past decade, Jerry Weintraub, producer of ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’, opted for the Quattroporte as the star of the ‘Ocean’s Twelve’ follow up. Maserati's flagship modelalso played a central role in the second season of TV series'Entourage' and the 2008 movie 'Max Payne' directed byJohn Moore and starring Mark Wahlberg.

In 2003, in ‘Charlie’s Angels II’, a Maserati SpyderCambiocorsa driven by Robert Patrick was the car of choice for accompanying Demi Moore, Cameron Diaz,Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.
