Museum of Mexican Descent San Ysidro, CA 1999 - 2000 California Polytechnic State University Senior Thesis Diminishing holistic ranges of borders by linking cultural barriers of past and present images, my senior thesis consisted of the design of a museum where architecture depicts experiential transitions of space and time: unknown to most, the journeys of Mexican - American migrants. Experiences encountered through varying layers of existence inspired me to design a building that would challenge me in all aspects of life. With the collection of past remembrances in mind, my thesis concentrates on the path imprinted by those who survived the experience of crossing the United States - MexicoInternational Border legally and illegally, and the metaphysical connotations regarding images construed over time.
