Definition of Cancer

A growth or tumor that is the result by a abnormal division of cells in a certain part of the body.

Lung cancer is this growth or tumor, located in the lung.

Methods of Prevention

Refrain from smoking tobacco products

An unfamiliar cough that lingers and seems not to go away.

3. What type of work are you doing on lung cancer?

- I have been working on testing lung cancer on a molecular level.

4. Why is this important? - This type of testing can provide

new insight on this type of cancer, which can lead to many things, including helpful treatments.

Other Current Research

Most research being done on lung cancer, is how to remove it in a more safe and efficient way. Since the lungs are needed for humans to breath, saving them is extremely important.

Other current things being done, are massive campaigns against the use of tobacco products, because they are the leading cause of lung cancer.
