• A dose of up to 37.5mgDoxorubicin per ml DC BeadTM

can be loaded.

• The maximum recommendedtotal dose of Doxorubicin perprocedure is 150mg.

1 Reconstitute a vial containing 50mgof Doxorubicin with 2ml of sterilewater for injection. Mix well to obtaina clear solution (25mg/ml).

3 Using a syringe and needle add the2ml of reconstituted Doxorubicinsolution directly to the vial of DC BeadTM.

2 Remove as much saline as possiblefrom a vial of DC BeadTM using asyringe with a small gauge needle.

4 Agitate the DC BeadTM/Doxorubicinsolution gently to encourage mixingthen allow to stand until the beads are red and the solution is almost colourless.

LOADING INSTRUCTIONS

5 Loading will take a minimum of 20minutes for the smallest size DC BeadTM and up to 120 minutes forthe largest size DC BeadTM.

6 Prior to use, transfer the beadsloaded with Doxorubicin to a syringeand add an equal volume of non-ionic contrast media. Invert thesyringe gently to obtain an evensuspension of beads.
