• Open Ended = Without fixed limits, free
• Leading Questions = Encourages a desired answer
![Page 35: Lesson 2 unit 1](https://reader031.vdocuments.mx/reader031/viewer/2022013107/54837ef1b4af9ff6468b4791/html5/thumbnails/35.jpg)
Do vs. Does
• To make a question in English we often use “do” or “don’t” at the beginning of a sentence
• We use Do when the subject is I, you, we or they.
• When the subject is he, she or it, we add DOES at the beginning to make the affirmative sentence a question.
![Page 36: Lesson 2 unit 1](https://reader031.vdocuments.mx/reader031/viewer/2022013107/54837ef1b4af9ff6468b4791/html5/thumbnails/36.jpg)
Examples
• Does it hurt? -Pronoun “it” as in the hurt….so we use does.
• Do you feel pain?-Pronoun “you”…..so we use do.
![Page 37: Lesson 2 unit 1](https://reader031.vdocuments.mx/reader031/viewer/2022013107/54837ef1b4af9ff6468b4791/html5/thumbnails/37.jpg)

• Can Verb. To be able too. Often used when making a request. “Can you tell me if it hurts?”
• Have youOpen ended guess. Unsure. “Have you ever tried a diet?”
