Streetscape Redevelopment

Location

Fort Worth, TX

Description

The Berry Street corridor in Fort Worth, Texas, runs from I-35 to the Texas Christian University (TCU) campus. The corridor is becoming run down and needs to be reinvigorated. This was my favorite project to date, and I spent the most time on it. My partner and I felt like we accomplished the goal set in front of us and that the residents in the area would appreciate our attention to detail.

The HargisResidence

Location

Stillwater, OK

Description

The Hargis Residence was one of the very first projects that our Design 1 class was assigned. Looking back at the experience, I learned the importance of interviewing your client and asking many questions. I also did a lot of research on sustainable products to implement into the project.

GIS Analysis with Impact Mitigation Strategies

Location

Stillwater, OK

Description

The purpose of this analysis was to find strong areas to develop around Lake Carl Blackwell as well as find significant landscapes not to develop. This project was done in teams and the work shown was done by me. Upon completion of the analysis, the development potential map and the significant landscapes map were combined to show the map to the right. As a team, we were to select an area on the site to develop a neighborhood.

GIS Analysis with Impact Mitigation Strategies

Location

Stillwater, OK

Description

As a team, we then developed three conceptual masterplans. From those three concepts, we chose the one that we felt best fit out site. We then came up with several mitigation strategies to implement on the site both during and after construction.

Rural Village Development Masterplan

Guymon, OK

Description

This is the first project that Green It Up. As you can see in the pictures on the facing page, there was a considerable amount of change that took place throughout the project. Drought tolerant plants were used in the bed and proved to stand up against the harsh summer heat of the Oklahoma panhandle.

Guymon, OK

Description

This was the second residential project that my landscaping company, Green It Up, completed. It was constructed for a family that was looking for a low maintenance planting bed that incorporated some petrified wood that was significant to their family. A low voltage sprinkler system and solar-powered lighting were also installed.

Description

The Campus International Mall on the facing page was completed with the help of a partner as a charette for an organization within the landscape architecture department. The design earned my partner and I a job for the semester working closely with the Deans of the buildings surrounding the International Mall area.

Description

Photography has always been a hobby that I have enjoyed. Taking photographs of nature and people enjoying nature is my main focus. It’s not until you really stop and examine nature up close, that you really appreciate all that it has to offer us. Photos are something that speak to everyone differentlym and each individual’s perspective is unique.
