IV Manage Tips1. All continous IV’s must be scanned into IV manage2. Dosing Weight is (0)3. Infusion rate is (1)4. TPN & Lipids – a warning may happen when scanning – “you have <1cc do you want to DC” the correct answer is NO5. To enter a bag of fluid when patient coming from OR/ER- go to New IV and select “ordered” fluid and add note.6. When it does not scan place in red pharmacy bin7. Only one patient shows in IV Manage8. Leave “0” that is placed in I&O, it is a placer/check mark that IV was started and ended.

Special Note: VUH- requires armband scan in CO prior to going to IV manage VCH- No armband scan prior to going to IV manage
