How to take a photo using a Sony DSC-S90 or S85

Turn camera on ...

To turn on the Sony DSC-S85 camera slide the POWER switch in the direction of the arrow (or push the power button for the DSC-S90).


Set camera to record ...

Set the mode dial to the appropriate setting (e.g. set to the GREEN Camera for still image recording).


Zoom in or out ...

Use the Zoom Button to zoom in or out

W – wide angle (subject appears further away)

T – telephoto (subject appears closer)

Set the automatic focus ...

Press and hold the shutter button half way down. The camera will automatically adjust the exposure and focus ...


Take the photo ...

... When the green light stops flashing press the shutter button all the way down to take the photo.


To view the photo ...

Press the left arrow on the control button


To view all photos taken ...

Set the mode dial to the Play setting.

Select the desired image with the control button left or right.


To delete an image ...

Press menu button

Press the up arrow to o.k.




Press the up arrow to o.k.Press the centre control button
