Reinstall the exhaust system onto the bike.

Loosen and remove the footboard mounting hardware.

Tighten the spark plug.

Drill a hole through the center punch mark.

Tap the exhaust pipe for the spark plug.

Remove the exhaust system from the bike.

Thread the spark plug into the exhaust pipe.

Mark the exhaust 8 to 10 inches from the tip.

Remove the right-side saddlebag and set it aside.

Center punch the exhaust pipe.

Disconnect the saddlebag lighting harness.

Install the ring terminal onto the frame ground.

Crimp the spade connector onto the plug wire.

Crimp a ring terminal onto the ground wire from the Hot Licks module.

Reinstall the saddlebag onto the bike.

Tighten the terminal stud.

Cut the wire to the necessary length.

Slide the ring terminal over the spark plug tip.

Plug in the saddlebag wiring.

Crimp the ring terminal onto the other end of the plug wire.

Route the module’s power wire to the switch location.

Thread the terminal stud onto the spark plug.

Remove the frame ground bolt.

Route the plug wire through the bag, to the module.

Install and tighten the rear mounting hardware.

Drill a hole in the bag for the spark plug wire.

Position the Hot Licks box in the sad-dlebag.

Route the wires through the grommet that the lighting wires pass through.

Install the footboard onto the mounting brackets.

Extend the wiring the necessary amount for the Hot Licks module.

Apply double-sided tape on the Hot Licks module.

Install and tighten the mounting hard-ware.

Strip the spark plug wire.

Heat shrink the wiring for a nice, clean look.

Stick the module in the desired location.

Install two-sided tape onto the switch.

Disconnect the ignition coil wiring.

Terminal (A) is the coil side of the wire from step 44, (B) is where the Hot Licks module connects, and (C) is the power side of the wire from step 44.

Strip both ends of the coil power wire.

These two wires will provide power to the coil. When the button is pushed the power will divert from the ignition coil to the Hot Licks module.

Test for battery voltage with the key in the “on” position.

Solder wire onto both halves of the power wire.

Crimp spade terminals onto the power wires.

Cut the wire that provides 12 volts to the coil. The flame thrower switch will complete the connection in the end.

Install the button onto the coil cover.

Heat shrink the solder joints.

Pry the switch from the switch housing.

Plug the spark plug cables into the ignition coil. Install the seat and mounting hardware.
