2. GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS
-is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineeringtechniques. These techniques, generally known as recombinant DNA technology, use DNA molecules from different sources, which are combined into one molecule to create a new set of genes. This DNA is then transferred into an organism, giving it modified or novel genes. Transgenic organism, a subset of GMOs, are organisms which have inserted DNA that originated in a different species.
3. GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISM
ADVANTAGES
More environmental friendly. Require less herbicides and pesticides.
Inbuilt resistance to pests, weeds and diseases.
Used to create medicines.
Foods can stocked for a longer periods.
Answer to feeding growing world populations.
DISADVANTAGES
Unnatural therefore unsafe.
Genetic engineering could be a threat to human andenvironmental health.
Harm to other organisms liked butterfly and monarch.
Biological pollution.
Can cause allergy to human.
4. DO YOU THINKSHOULD WECONSIDER THAT THE PPRODUCT BY THE GMO IS SAFETY TO EAT?
5. Based on the information I gathered
6. I stand for the?
7. Anti-GMO
8. The claim endingworld hunger with GM food is a false claim. World hunger is not cause by food shortage of food production, but by sheer mismanagement, and lack of access to food broughtabout by various social, financial and political causes.
9. GM food will end diversity if everyone starts growing the same standardized crops.
10. It can cause allergy to a organism like human.
11. We cannot classified a organism as a natural If it is engineered or not the 100% of the original.
12. GM crops couldcross-pollinate with nearby non-GM plants and create ecological problems. If this were to happen with GM food s containing vaccines, antibiotics and so on, it would verywell turn into a human health nightmare.
13. Herbicides-resistant and pesticide-resistant crops could give rise to super-weeds and super-pests that would need newer, stronger chemicals to destroy them.

15. Instead ofgoing for GM food, why not focus more on improving organic agricultural practices.
