Roles and responsibilities

I have been employed with IBM since May 1995 and during these 21+ years, I have performed different roles spanning Delivery, Resource Management, Operations and Pre-sales.

As Solutioning Analytics and Data Management Leader I am responsible for:o providing predictive and prescriptive Analytics that enable optimisation of Global

Solutioning effectiveness and efficiency;o establishing analytics and reporting mechanisms for providing insights;

o making recommendations to the Global Solutioning Leadership for improvements of processes and practices;

o Supporting Tax audit requirements and on providing special reporting for the senior leadership team.

As IOT Solutioning Leader for SIH Global Solutioning I was responsible for:o engaging with the IOT Leadership and Sales teams to ensure value based solutions are

prepared for clients by mapping requirements into business and IT solutions to meet client’ business objectives, build/improve client’s outsourcing strategies for better value and move the client up the value chain;

As Program Manager for SIH GIC Solutioning I was responsible for:o managing the operations of the SIH GIC Solutioning teams across the various IBM

Global Delivery Centers;o managing budgets, utilisation, and capacity of the Solutioning teams across the GDCs;

o conducting monthly and weekly reviews of GIC Solutioning performance against metrics with the GIC and Global Solutioning Leadership;

o ensuring roll-out and implementation of SIH Solutioning Standards, Processes and Methodologies across the GDCs.

As Large / Complex Deals Solution Leader and Senior Solution Advisor at IBM’s China Global Delivery Center I was responsible for:

o establishing and developing a strong solutioning team at the Global Delivery Center to support the sales teams in Greater China Group countries and Japan;

o implementing already established Global solutioning standards, processes and methodologies;

o establishing and participating in various reviews during the engagement and solutioning cycle;

o establishing and conducting monthly/weekly reviews with the China GDC Leadership;

o supporting engagement teams to win large deals in GCG and Japan in excess of US$ 390M in the 1st half of 2010, with clients such as Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd., Kingdee, Solar, Resona, Sharp, Schiphol Nederland B.V.

As Global / Large Deals Technical Solution Manager with the Global and AMS Americas Large Deals team I was responsible for:

o supporting the AMS sales and engagement teams on large, complex and multinational bids;

o developing technical solutions for large and complex deals by mapping & translating clients’ requirements, and offer deal approach, solution plan, proposal and cost/price estimation by leveraging standard process methods, deliverables and right collection of AMS offerings;

o understanding and defining input required to create cost estimates; prepare cost model estimation, work with Service Delivery and other Solution Managers to define delivery model of the defined scope of services and prepare pricing models;

o collaborating with the sales and other teams for response to RFIs/ RFPs, presentations, due diligences, knowledge transfer, operation requirements and client specific sales presentations;

o creating governance structure, delivery model, staffing, service location, service hours, service levels, service level credits/penalties, enabling tools and infrastructure requirements for provisioning services to client, staff transfer requirements and service transition / transformation approach;

o aligning final solution architecture (including statement of work, schedules and other contractual documents) with final terms and conditions;

o assisting the sales teams in approaching prospective clients and generate business by doing background work on client information;

o participating in planning and execution of due diligence to validate solutions, assumptions and dependencies with client;

o creating innovative solutions with appropriate financial and organisational models as part of RFP responses to meet client needs;

o designing and developing the technical solution on winning bids with clients such as INEOS, AMGEN, Micron Technology, Global Crossing and Pfizer, while also representing the US solutioning team in multi-national deals with clients such as BP.

As Delivery Project Executive / Account Manager / Project Manager I was responsible for:o providing management and technical leadership to deliver application services and

solutions to meet contract deliverables at agreed service level agreements;o ensuring higher client satisfaction by working closely with client teams, third party

vendors, subcontractors and internal program and project office;o providing Monthly Program Status update at Functional Level and Quarterly Program

Update at Strategic Level as part of Steering Committee Meetings;o managing contractual cost, schedule, and service / product deliverables as they relate to

As Country Resource Deployment Manager for the domestic business in India I was responsible for capacity planning and management, identification of skills for delivery and effective utilization of the practitioners.
