Students from University Heights Academy’s Junior American Citizen Club presented Beth Unfried, Head of School, with a proclamation signed by Mayor Wendell Lynch and County Judge Executive Steve Trib-ble celebrating Constitution Week September 17-23. Students are sharing Constitution Minutes and lead-ing the Pledge of Allegiance during morning announcements and are posting flyers throughout the com-munity. The group is sponsored by the Colonel John Green Chapter of the National Society Daughters of

the American Revolution. Regent Tammy Staley coordinates the school activities.

Congratulations to Lauren Sisk and Walter Kunnmann for being Semifinalists in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program. These talented high school seniors have

been named based on their outstanding academic achievement. To be considered for a National Merit scholarship award, a semi finalist must fulfill several requirements to advance to the finalist level of the competition. The National Merit Scholarship Corpo-ration's goal is to honor the nation's scholastic champions and encourage the pursuit

of academic excellence.

Congratulations to the 2021 AP Scholars AP Scholar– scored a 3 or higher on at least three AP exams Alison Bullen, Alison Craig, Jude Doer, Tommy Graham, Emily Grise, William Hancock, Haiden Hauret, Shahyan Khan, Evelyn Morales, Grace Pape and Riley Simmons AP Scholar with Honors– scored a 3 or higher on at least four AP exams and have a minimum AP average of 3.25

Ethan Alexander, Molly Bennett, Evan Golladay, Riley Harper, Emma Perry, Karrigan Rogers, and Riley Staton AP Scholar with Distinction– scored a 3 or higher on at least five AP exams and have a minimum AP average of 3. 5

This year UHA is starting a brand new club. Sponsored by the Hopkinsville Rotary Club, the UHA Interact

Club has the purpose of providing an opportunity for young people to work together in a world fellowship

organization dedicated to service and international understanding.
