History

Event Design Group was founded in 1991 by Lindsay and Rick Rauch. Through the years we have had the pleasure of working with some of the area’s most respected organizations.

Planning and executing hundreds of events has allowed us to develop our expertise, making the events we produce more engaging for attendees.

As we’ve learned and practiced, we’ve felt our enthusiasm for events continue to grow.

Process• We meet with you and your team to hear your vision for the event.

• Using that information, we prepare proposals blending your culture with your budget parameters.

• The narrative portion of the proposal describes, in great detail, every element of the event.

• Budget proposals are detailed, line-by-line, containing the costs of each item included.

• We work with your team to finalize the details.

• We create a team of suppliers to execute the event.

• We’re onsite to manage the event and trouble-shoot if necessary, allowing you and your guests to enjoy a seamless experience.

• After the event, we wrap things up with the venue and other suppliers to include paying them.

• Your organization writes two checks – a deposit at the time of signing and a balance after the event is completed.

Benefit #1

It’s likely, planning the company’s events is just one of your responsibilities.

When you partner with Event Design Group, we give you back the time you spend doing all of the leg-work, allowing you to focus on your “other” job duties.

Benefit #2

Over the years, we’ve come up with a few good strategies for driving attendance at company sponsored events.

One good reason for holding such events is employees developing deeper relationships beyond the work environment, leading to better retention.

Generating better attendance helps improves ROE, that’s Return on Event.

Benefit #3

Another way to increase ROE is to hold events that engage and appeal to the greatest number of attendees.

When designing the experience for your guests, we carefully integrate the four “E’s”: Esthetics, Education, Entertainment and Escapism.

This approach assures that every type of guest will find event elements that satisfy them.

Benefit #4

Perhaps the greatest benefit to you is we do all the work and you get all the credit.

It’s well-deserved, too. You found us. You managed the process. The event turned out great. Good job!

Case StudyOne of the companies with whom we’ve worked for years decided one summer to plan their own event. The event, a picnic at the Denver Zoo, seemed easy enough.

A few weeks before the party the client called because she felt things weren’t going well in planning.

When we looked at the arrangements that had been made we found several oversights that would have been disastrous and expensive. The layout wouldn’t have worked. The plan for catering would have resulted in long lines and cold food. The registration process at the front gate would have led to a bottle-neck, delaying entrance into the event.

The lesson learned is that there are certain efficiencies gained by hiring a professional planner. The expertise of the consultant helps assure that things go well, the proper amounts of supplies are obtained and the vendors work in harmony with each other.
