UNIT DESCRIPTION

• This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to install, upgrade and test computer software.

• You’ll be taught what to check before installing new software, or upgrading old software.

• You’ll be taught the different methods of loading software onto a computer.

• After successfully installing the software you’ll need to check it works properly.

• And register the new software.

UNIT DESCRIPTION

• The original software media will need to be stored properly.

• So you’ll learn how to complete a software installation or upgrade, including preparing for the installation, actually installing the software and completing the required tasks following the installation.

D2 explain how the impact of potential problems that arise during an installation can be minimised.
