We have been working for over 15 years with a vast range of education providers in Derby and Derbyshire, engaging children and young people in the curriculum and beyond.

We know that dance and movement enhances all areas of physical, social and emotional development, as well as promoting cultural awareness and understanding.

Arts Award and Artsmark support Our teaching and learning methods ignite the imagination of children and young people as we empower them through co-production processes. We also have trained advisors in Arts Award – the accredited qualification in arts experience and leadership – who can assist with delivering the Arts Award in your setting at Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. We can also support your application for Artsmark.

Artsmark is Arts Council EnglandArtsmark is Arts Council England’s flagship programme to enable schools and other organisations to evaluate, strengthen and celebrate their arts and cultural provision. It raises the public profile of a school or setting in the eyes of prospective students, their families and across the wider community. Artsmark contributes to the cultural aspect of Ofsted’s requirement that a school promotes students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

A silly, funny, hilarious, sad, cool, great, amazing adventure!

These sessions offer staff the opportunity to develop their confidence, ideas and skills in delivering dance lessons or workshops in and beyond the curriculum. This can be done through individual or group mentoring sessions or whole school INSET.

The best CPD with teachers and TAs is when they help deliver PE with an expert and then implement this themselves in a new way.

Early Years Foundation StageChildren are born to move, play and dance. They explore and learn by using their imagination and challenging the boundaries around them. Our approach to dance and movement enables children to develop fundamental physical, social and emotional skills, which in turn has a positive effect on their learning and progress. In our sessions we provide a safe environment in which children can be imaginative and develop confidence.

Specialised Déda pSpecialised Déda practitioners will devise activities according to the needs of your learners, creating sessions which incorporate the Early Learning Goals from the National Curriculum, linking them to topics in your nursery, pre-school or Key Stage 1 classes.

She was clearly in tune with the physical, social, emotional and communication needs of the children. I was inspired by her motivation, positive energy and ability to provide a space for children to develop and explore their self-awareness through the art of dance and movement.
