Dear Water and Sewer Customers:
Based on a rate study, The Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Montevallovoted at its September 12,2012 meeting to increase Water and Sewer rates by 4% effectivewith the October 31, 2012 billing. This increase is necessary due to increased operating expensesin providing quality water and sewer services.
Due to regulations of the Safe Drinking Water Act, we are now testing for over 100regulated and non-regulated contaminants. We are pleased to report that we did not exceed thelimits allowed for any of these.

WATER RATE INCREASE
The Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Montevallo approved in itsSeptember 12th, 2012 meeting to increase the Water and Sewer Rates by 4%. Thiswill be effective as of October 31st, 2012.
The minimum for 2000 gallons of water and sewer is based on the size of yourmeter. See rate schedule below.
