The feeling of fall is in the air and thehustle and bustle of school and all of theactivities it brings are happening.

What an exciting time to live in Madison, there seems to be a buzz in the air from allthe activities that have been going on.Miracle Treat Day, Discovery Day, 4-H days, the recent DSU expansion & the monetarygifts, the recent Ag Bowl, and the list goeson… The future is bright in Madison!

On behalf of the Chamber Board wewould like to say thank you to all of ourmembers and also to our area farmers andthose connected to Agriculture in Madisonand the surrounding communities.

Twenty percent of all jobs in SD, or one inevery five, is connected in some way toAgriculture. We have 31,000 farmers and

ranchers who grow a variety of productsevery year that make their way into ourhomes and on our kitchen tables every day.So, we need to really think about the largeimpact our area producers have on ourcommunity that we live in, and the impactthey have on our everyday lives.

So as harvest approaches, be SAFE andgive extra caution to those farmers with thebig equipment on the roads.

Again, thank you on behalf of theGMACC and let us knowwhat we can do for you!
