14th century The life of a warriors abonded, they started run a pawnbroker business and selling ‘sake’ (rice wine) and ‘miso’ (soy bean paste).
17th century Mitsui also opened a money exchange, and was appointed as financier to the Government
19th century Mitsui founded Japan’s first private sector bank.
1909 Mitsui-Soko was established as warehouse company in Mitsui Group.
