Clean Sky 2 is a Joint Undertaking of the European Commission and the European aeronautics industry and part of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

It develops innovative, cutting-edge technology aimed at reducing CO2, gas emissions and noise levels produced by aircraft.

Clean Sky contributes to strengthening European global leadership and competitiveness.

Three years from its start, Clean Sky 2 already has 450 participants in 25 countries. Clean Sky 2 represents a total budget of €4 billion over ten years.

Clean Sky 2 plans to launch five more Calls for Proposals through 2020.
