Watch and listen to the following conversation between Linda and a travel agent.
Travel agent: Hello, may I help you?
Linda: Hi. I am looking for a nice place to spend the holidays.
Travel agent: Sure. There are lots of destinations. What would you like to do?
Linda: I would like to see nice places and learn about other cultures, but, I have a limited budget. Do you have special
discounts for traveling this week?
Travel agent: Yes, you can travel to Brazil. One week costs 2000 dollars including airplane tickets, hotel, breakfast, dinner and
tour guide.
Linda: What about Brazilians?
Travel agent: Brazilians are talkative and friendly people.
Linda: Do I need visa to travel to Brazil?
Travel agent: No, you dont need it. Also, you can take direct flights to Brazil in Brazilian Airlines.
Linda: Great! It sounds like a good place. What about China?
Travel agent: Traveling to China 1 week costs around 3000 dollars; it only includes airplane tickets and tour guide but you have to
book a hotel, hotel is not included. You can visit The Great Wall
and The Forbidden City.
Linda: Traveling to China is expensive, I am a student, I dont have too much money.

Travel agent: Ok, then go to Italy.
Linda: Italy?
Travel agent:Yes, traveling to Italy is only 1.500 dollars one week including hotel, the three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and tour guide. There, you
can visit The Vatican City and try delicious Italian pasta and pizza.
Linda: Oh, yes! I love pasta. I know Italian men are very polite and gentle. I want to go to Italy!!
Travel agent: Ok, you can pay by cash or credit card.
Linda: I may pay by credit card but first I am going to try to get the prices in the Travel and Holiday Fair in order to pay for this package.
Travel agent: That sounds awesome! Good luck, then!

Remember
When we travel to a new country, it is important to know basic vocabulary in
English related to traveling.
We use BY when we travel in motorized or mechanic means of transport while we use ON when we use an animal of our own body to move.
You can say:
I go by Plane or I fly.
Car I drive.
Ship I sail.
bicycle/bike
motorcycle/ or I ride.
motorbike
Bus
I go on horse I ride.
foot I walk.
