For the major challenge and large number of customer service enquiries where the task is to identifythe correct spare part to clear a downtime, we developed a retrofittable AI related search application.This app is runnable on smartphones and smartwatches to identify objects on the camera images. Onthe one hand, a large number of customer service inquiries can be processed automatically. Thisenables employees to deal with more complex and substantial tasks for which a manual solution mustbe found. On the other hand, the previously necessary prioritization of requests is no longer necessary.The process can now be shortened by over 90% - for simple requests to less than one minute!

For the forecasting of unforeseen failures and downtimes we offer tailormade prognostics and healthmanagement system for the machines using the same interface. In addition to machine data (sensorreadings), we also use conventional (mathematical and physical) engineering approaches for modeling.With these models the health status of the component can be assessed and future states like theremaining useful lifetime can be predicted. With this information, we support the decision making ofmachine operators and the field service of the manufacturers to adjust maintenance measures for thismachine. Furthermore, it is possible to estimate risks for the violation of service level agreements moreaccurate. With us, machine efficiency can be increased to 20%.

Of course, we cannot completely exclude failures and downtimes of machines. But we help to buildtactical and strategical prescriptive decision support solutions to be prepared for the future.

Microcapules with 3 in 1 effect

One of the main tasks of the Makabi Agritech interdisciplinary scientific team is to produce eco-friendly foods and reduce the environmental impact caused by today's agriculture while reducing theuse of heavy organic chemicals and agrochemicals (herbicides, pesticides and insecticides) usedwidely in agricultural production.

Our solution to the problem of agrochemicals overuse is a smart biopolymer microcapsule with 3-in-1technology: protection, nutrition and time-release mechanism that releases various bioactivecomponents at the time the plant needs them the most.

Our pilot product, agro-formulations of microcapsules, was created by a green chemistry process thatproduces smart capsules with a 3-in-1 effect over the period of three years of research and testing withvarious crops (tomatoes, lettuce, vines, strawberries, tobacco, etc.). One of the key features of oursolution is the ability to grow plants indoors where microcapsules enter the root zone in the form ofsmall particles and release bioactive components through the process of dissolution and dialysis. Thetechnology and design ensure a balanced distribution of the necessary dissolved nutrients and activecomponents and eliminate the need for human participation in the cultivation process (except for theseed planting stage).

Our product is created using the technology of simultaneous encapsulation of biological agent(microorganism) and chemical reagent into a suitable complex carrier, i.e. matrix. Specificconcentration ratios of bioactive components allow for the synergy and better action of bothcomponents to occur.
