Preface:From a socio- economic perspective, the approach “Bizerte Smart City” relies on the support of the projectsthat are planned by the state within the framework of the five year plan 2016-2021. This provides nearly1600 million Dinars of investments in the region of Bizerte on the establishment of dynamic regionalthrough private investments so as to attract public investments. The aim is to benefit the region from thisfinancial windfall, reduce the unemployment rates and strengthen the regional and the national economy.

Objectives:- Positioning Bizerte as the "smart" city leader in Tunisia and one of the driving cities in Africa- Integrate Bizerte in an approach of sustainable development included in the sustainable cities program inTunisia initiated by the Ministry of the Environment and local communities.

Issues:- Make participants aware of the Smart City concept based on feedback from other cities.

- Create a Transformation Roadmap for the next 30 years: Project 10, 20, 30!- Identify a detailed action plan for the next 10 years and set up a pilot operation.- Contribution to the establishment of a regional and national ecosystem through institutions andcompanies around smart cities and TICs.

Ambition :- Creation of an intercontinental digital port and an international big data hub: The Oil of Tomorrow.
