”Artlinco has induced us to think more strategically and with greater vision. They also helped us to move more quickly from concept to prototype, and they played an important role in identifying manufacturers with the potential to be future partners.”

Bo Melson, CEO

”One of the decisive points in our choice of Artlinco as partner in development was their comprehensive knowledge of packaging. Their knowhow within the development process itself also meant a lot.”

Hans Lauridsen, BSc, Engineering Sales Manager

”We could see from Artlinco’s references that they had been able to improve the designs for other furniture companies. We there-fore believed that they could do the same for us – and we were not disappointed.”

Henrik Østergaard, Production Manager

”It’s really very simple. Artlinco was clearly one of the most competent contenders when we were assessing the options for a partner for development and packaging design.”

Jonas Kærgaard, Sales Manager

”Our choice of Artlinco was above all about our need to delimit the job. In other words, Artlinco ensured that the right things were done – and done correctly.”

Niels Kirkegaard, CEO

PRODUCT STRATEGYDo your development projects have a solid strategic basis?

Here at Artlinco we have a lot of respect for spontaneous and incidental ideas (many of the world’s greatest successes were born this way) , customer wishes, requirements for trade fairs etc. But we have even greater respect for the importance of creating the right framework and the necessary basis on which you can make decisions.

The task of creating the optimal product strategy is therefore an important element in every project. Here at Artlinco we

explore all the details by challenging the company’s strategy, brand, resources, degree of innovation and strategic goals.

The five areas of focus mean that we are already taking a structured approach at this level with respect to such important parameters as target groups, capacity, novelty value, niche possibilities etc.

Your projects are thus assured a solid strategic basis.

ARTLINCO EXPLORES ALL THE DETAILS BY CHALLENGING THE COMPANY’S STRATEGY, BRAND, RESOURCES, DEGREE OF INNOVATION AND STRATEGIC GOALS.

BUSINESS CASEDo you make your decisions on an objective basis?Have you made a needs assessment?

It’s easy to forget the economic rationale amid the intoxication over a fantastic idea. But if you’ve done it once and suffered financially, it’s a process you’ll remember for a very long time.

Here at Artlinco we help you to design or validate a business case that sets up the financial framework. We define the correct criteria and the KPIs for success, calculate the project’s ROI and cash flow, and set up the required project dimensioning.

We also set up scenarios and analyze external requirements such as patents, standards and statutory requirements so you are assured of the correct product and project specifications, checklists and schedules – everything before you floor the accelerator.

“IT WAS GOOD TO WORK WITH ARTLINCO. IT WAS VERY INSPIRING AND IT MADE US RETHINK OUR APPROACH – TO THINK A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY IN RELATION TO THE SIGNALING VALUE AND THE VISUAL EXPRESSION IN THE PACKAGING.” Gert R. Andersen

INDUSTRIAL DESIGNHow do you get a “yes” from your customers? When do you make a decision on the feasibility of manufacturing?

Industrial design is not about designing, the subjective gut feeling and all those things that are “hip”. It’s about strategy.

Here at Artlinco, we take a strategic and structured approach to our work. So we begin by deciphering the words, figures, body and feelings of your target group. When we’ve decoded the target group and the market, we sketch out your room to maneuver, and list the product’s Unique Selling Points. This is done in ways based among other things on the purchasing

situation, the user situation and the values in your target group that can trigger a need – and a purchase.

Only then do we start the actual concept and design work. We refine the idea, visualize the concept, and work with form, color, aroma, sound, packaging – all the design parameters that together must ensure that the total product experience hits the spot in the market, that the product leaves the launch pad so you get a “yes” from your customers.

ENGINEERINGDo you have a plan and the recourses and expertise to ensure that you meet your deadline?

One of the keywords for successful innovation is “holistic product development” – the ability to make the strategic, creative and technical expertise merge into a higher unity.

We set up time frames and identify and help to choose the required suppliers, develop prototypes, test, evaluate and prepare the final detailed drawings and installation documentation, all directly related to the specifications, standards, legal requirements and “soft” values specified earlier in the process.

The partnership with Artlinco proceeds in three ways:

• Artlincocanactasanautonomousdevelopmentunitwhichreports directly to you.

• Wecanenterintoapartnershipwithyourowndevelopmentdepartment and function as extra capacity in periods of peak loading.

• Artlincoisalsohappytoassistwiththegeneralprojectmanagement and to guide the project and suppliers in the right direction.

A common point in these three forms of partnership is a focus on creating increased value for you via teamwork, design and innovation.

ONE OF THE KEYWORDS FOR SUCCESSFUL INNOVATION IS “HOLISTIC PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT”, THAT IS, THE ABILITY TO MAKE THE STRATEGIC, CREATIVE AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE MERGE INTO A HIGHER UNITY.

MARKET INTRODUCTIONIs your visual communication under control?

It’s critical for your project’s ROI that the product is solidly anchored and that sales are kick started properly. So we don’t forget about the product when it leaves the drawing board or production process. We work in a structured and targeted way with all aspects of the product. It’s important to remember elements such as the user manual, internal sales presentations and workshops, domestic sales in

the distribution chain, PR and marketing – offline and online – and not least, the customer’s first meeting with the product and the experience of unpacking it.

We also ensure a setup to obtain the necessary market feedback and the possibility of ongoing evaluation in relation to the business case. We are, in a nutshell, with you before, during and after.

“The partnership with Artlinco meant that our eyes were opened to the amount of work that goes into, for example, a good logo, and our perception of how the world at large sees the shop was confirmed. Artlinco challenged our way of thinking about our profile, but at the same time they managed to retain the business’s values and substance. Carl Erik le Fevre
