PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

A BRIEF INTRODUCTIONArchitecture fascinates me. During my studies I am always passionate to explorehow science and technology can be used to improve the performance of buildings both socially and environmentally.I believe that I have the ability to overcome challenges and obstacles in my way,to finally realize both creative and efficient solutions.

Designing a book shop that is inspired from knownarchitects but still modified to adapt with the surroundings soul.

Desining a parametric shading element. Taking into consideration the sun angle using voronoi equations with a jitter factor randomizing a cloud of points with a density based on the amount of sunlight.

Exploring a unit and make from it more complex system.

Third Year ProjectsOffice building Project

Project DefinitionThe principle rationale of the project is to

challenge the current discourse and to research and design alternatives to the

current prevaling office building design in Amman. The design

depends on the environment responsive and localization, with some global solutions

addressing on some objectives.

Design StatmentThis project aims to create a space that

improves social interactions between collegues and users through open public spaces and feeling comfortable with the

facilities provided, and it aims to serve the residential area.

Instructor: Rami Daher

I provided the oce building with multiple personal care spaces such as resturants,

terraces, library and soft areas (to maintain a social bond with each other)

The oce building design was based

on the consideration of respecting the

surrounding residential buildings as also the surrounding oce buildings.

Third Year ProjectsResidential Project

Project DefinitionThe task was to design a dwelling space

which consists of 22 units and a commercialstrip in front of it. The location of the site

was “Wadi Saqra” which is one of severalravines in Amman. The design had to be

driven and inspired by one of the Agendas of the Modernity period.

Design StatmentThis project aims to create a space that

improves quality of living through social equityand elements that imphasis social interactions

through communal space.

Book Shop

This project aims to provide a comfortable space, where people can work, study, read or even just gather

in a calm environment.

Instructor: Bisher Zureikat

Project Definition

Design Statment

This project aims to explore the different of post modernity genres

(meaning and relationships). This project took place in Jabal Amman

with it’s traditional buildings and this project made a contrast with

the old traditionnal Jabal Amman houses and this post modernity

book shop.Aside from the everyday issues and

problems in our perspictive cities, this project generate new theoritical

and practical meaning.

Project DefinitionThis project is about a parametric shading element. Taking into consideration the sun angle using voronoi equations with a jitter factor randomizing a cloud of points with a density based on the amount of sunlight.

The shading element is made up of two different systems, one for the roofing system

and the other is for the sides.(Group project)

Attractor point

The diagrams below show different alterations showing the changes in the form. The domain slider controls the density of the voronoi web and the jitter slider controls

how the voronoi web is affected by the atractor points. The system is

made up of two seperate sliders. Finally the pipe was added to the outcome web with a radius slider. For the optimization process, the mesh shadow was added to show how affective the element is.

Project Definition

This project is about exploring a unit and understanding the meaning of this unit as a

part of a composite whole.A bottom-up approach is the piecing

together of system to give rise to more complex systems, thus making the original

systems sub-systems of the emergent system.(group project)

Third Year Projects

We began with the basic shape of a snow flake as our primary unit. snow flakes come in a variety of size and shapes. complex shapes emerge as the flake moves through different temperature and humidity regimes, such as individual snowflakes are nearly unique in structure.

We created more than one prototype and then wechose the unit that worked best, After we chose the basic shape of the unit.

Site planThis task was to design a dwelling space

for the German Jordanian University staff . The program included three different

types of housing units. The location of the site was “Daheet Al

Yasmeen” which is between both campuses of German Jordanian

University (Madaba and Jabal Amman)

Design StatmentThis project aims to create a space that

connect both Madaba and Jabal Amman German Jordanian University staff members through communal spaces and a spine that

connects the three different types of units with each other.

Third Year ProjectsThird Year ProjectsDocumentation Project Instructor: Tala Awadalla

Project DefinitionThis project aims to improve our skills in

measuring and manual drawing. We had to apply these

skills to an existent old house. The house is located in “Bader Al deen thatha” Street, and it was built by the

architect “Jalel Ajha” for MR “Abdalqader Tash”

Traditional architecture basically is the ability to construct or built any structure

following cultural aspects and regulations; it also refers to cultural

buildings - such as religious temmples or royal palaces.
