Loose Him and Let Him Go

John 11:43-44

“Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” 44And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them,

“Loose him, and let him go.”



Christ has the power and the authority to command the dead

to "come forth".

When He liberates a person from death

and brings them into life.



He expects us to get involved by loosing them and setting

them free from that which would keep them crippled and unable to walk a

successful Christian walk.


Lazarus had received the Word of the Lord.

He is still clothed in the garments

of death.

He was still wrapped in his grave clothes.



1. Many today have received salvation but are still bound up with the former garments of

death.

2. The life-style of some who claim to be Christians is no different than it was before their

salvation experience.

Those are grave-clothes



Lazarus was able to have

some movement but

he was not free.



1. He was able to get out of the grave but unable to remove the grave clothes.

2. Most of us are able to do some things fairly well even though grave

Why are we where we are today?

What you do and who you are the sum total or product of our;

Choices,

Values,

Belief,

Experience,

Knowledge and the

Environment


Not only ours but choices made by:

Our Parents

Their Parents and forefathers, Our teachers,

Our local leaders, Our National leaders

Others with authority & influence over our lives

like Pastors etc.

People we allowed to speak into our lives


Gideon typifies this scenario!

Judges 6:1-13

1 Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord. So the Lord delivered them into the hand of Midian for seven

years, 6 So Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites, and the children

of Israel cried out to the Lord.

7 And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried out to the Lord because of the Midianites, 12 And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him,

“The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

v13 Gideon said to Him, “O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us?

And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the Lord has forsaken

us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.”



Hiding because of the consequences of the sin of the people.

Complaining and murmuring just like

we do.

Yet God calls him a mighty man!


Gideon is sent on assignment.

Judges 6:1-13

14 Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?” 15 So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in

my father’s house.” 16 And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the

Midianites as one man.”

22 Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the Lord. So Gideon said, “Alas, O Lord God! For I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face.” 23

Then the Lord said to him, “Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.” 24 So Gideon built an altar

there to the Lord, and called it The-Lord-Is-Peace. To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.



God calls Him.

God puts his favor and anointing on Him.

God sends him

Empowers him even by the word of an

angel


Then God comes back at Night!

Judges 6:25-27

25 Now it came to pass the same night that the Lord said to him, “Take your

father’s young bull, the second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal

that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it;

26 “and build an altar to the Lord your God on top of this rock in the proper

arrangement, and take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the image which you shall cut down.”

27 So Gideon took ten men from among his servants and did as the Lord had said to him. But because he feared his father’s

household and the men of the city too much to do it by day, he did it by night



God comes back at night it seems to say,

Gideon you can do this without pulling down

your fathers altar.

Altar is a place of covenant and a place of worship in this case

of Baal.


Altars

Places of worship. Places of Covenant.

Places of sacrificeAbraham built altars on the land God gave to him to bring the land into the same covenant he had with

God.

Same Covenant. Same Blood

Same Angels have charge.


Gideon’s first Assignment

Before you can do my assignment you have to

break down and annul the covenant your father made.

BUT IT DOES NOT STOP HERE Vs 26

Build another altar to the Lord - Make another

covenant for your family and your father.


Make a new decision.

This is where we stopped in our

deliverance ministry and breaking of curses!

Many times we break altar of Baal but we never build another

altar to God in replacement.


Precedence

Matthew 12:43-45

43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. 44 “Then he says, ‘I

will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty,

swept, and put in order.


Problem is not order or swept but empty!

Matthew 12:43-45

45 “Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than

himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse

than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.


Moses’ Experience!

Exodus 4:18-26

19 And the Lord said to Moses in Midian, “Go, return to Egypt; for all the men who

sought your life are dead.” ..24 And it came to pass on the way, at the encampment, that the Lord met him and sought to kill

him.

25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and cast it at

Moses’ feet, and said, “Surely you are a husband of blood to me!” 26 So He let him go. Then she said, “You are a husband of

blood!”—because of the circumcision



Moses is called by God.

He is on the way to obey God.

God tries to kill him.

Why?



This is a difficult passage filled with

obscurities; apparently

Moses neglected to circumcise his

son.



What hinders us sometimes in being

successful in life and ministry has

nothing to do with us, if an hedge is

broken, the serpent will bite.



Circumcision was an action that served as

a sign of God’s covenant relationship

with His people as designated by God

Himself

[Gen. 17:10-14]



May also have been his wife’s abhorrence of the practice or by

adhering to the Midianite rite, which calls for males to be

circumcised at puberty?



However as head of the house, Moses should

have performed this rite when his

son was eight days old.



As he is now become Israel’s deliverer. God is displeased and vicariously uses

Zipporah to do what Moses should have

done.


Personal Experiences!

Family struggling with debts and we noticed that you don’t want to pay your debts,

the same thing with your brother, your sister and so on.

Why?



Discovered that their parents particularly

the mother does not take responsibility

for debts and owes even men of God banks etc with no sign of remorse.



The children were beginning to struggle with debt payments

even when their hearts were right and

willing to pay but something seems to hold all of the down.



Psalm 37:21-29

21 The wicked borrows and does not repay, But the righteous shows mercy and gives 22 For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, But those cursed by Him shall be cut off. 25 I have been

young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. 26 He is

ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed.



Proverbs 3:33

33 The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the

just.

Proverbs 26:2

2 Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, So a curse without cause shall not alight.



Only the wicked would borrow and not pay.

When a man’s children are begging for bread, it means that the father

wasn’t righteous.

Being righteous does not mean being born again, but the opposite of the

wickedness.



Let us pray that God

should bless us so that we can pay our

There seems to be limiting forces

stopping people here and there.

The devil can plant evil and limitations. Fifty, hundred years before

you, to stop you.


Our common Experiences!

While some have children, others don’t.

While some are finding it difficult to get contracts

Others are having more than they can handle , but not enough money

to implement etc.



Have you ever confronted your problems as a

Christian?

We don’t need to run away from our

problems and ask God to solve all our

problems.



Pray for the knowledge and revelation we

need.

The discernment knowledge to deal with it these issues


Discernment

Proverbs 2:1-22

1 My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you,2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding;3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, 4 If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures;5 Then

you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.


Discretion

Proverbs 2:1-22

10 When wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,11 Discretion will preserve you;

Understanding will keep you,12 To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things,13 From

those who leave the paths of uprightness To walk in the ways of darkness;14 Who rejoice in doing evil, And delight

in the perversity of the wicked;15 Whose ways are crooked, And who are devious in their paths;

First Pull down the Old Altar

We need wisdom,

We need understanding,

We need to cry out for discretion.

We need to pray that God should put hunger

for solution of the problems into our hearts.


First Pull down the Old Altar

Lord shows me the altar of my father that has hindered

my own life.

Through Repentance

Today make a covenant with God, that whenever

you see such altar hindering His works, then you are

going to break it down and build another


Then Build another one to God

Daniel after Nebuchadnezzar’s Second Dream

Daniel 4:17, 27

17 ‘This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the

holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives

it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’

2 Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. ..7 But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.”

Notice into this house!



Pray and make a covenant, whatever it will cost you; you are prepared to pay prize. You are taking a stand.

Your children are not going to inherit your

father’s altar.



You pull down the altar, you must

build another one.

You cut off wickedness by

act of righteousness.



If your family is owning debts, then pay back

If your family has taken lives, then you have to give

life.



Pray for the spirit of discernment in this

church.

Lift up your voice for understanding.

May we be known as a wise and

understanding people.


Starting Over: Another Altar

The devil has two assignments, first that

you don’t you don’t get born again.

And if that fails his second assignment is

that you don’t carry out your God given

assignment.



We are heading towards a purpose.

We must make a new altar: A New Order.

We can sense new beginning everywhere.

It means God is bringing us to the fore front, a fresh

start, a new beginning.



When God said something is new.

It does not actually means starting another

thing.

We need to remove boundaries and

limitations stopping us.


Understanding Kingdom Principles

Esther 8:5, 8

5 and said, “If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight and the thing seems right to the king and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to revoke the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to annihilate the Jews who are in all the

king’s provinces.



Esther 8:5, 8

8 “You yourselves write a decree concerning the Jews, as you please, in the king’s name,

and seal it with the king’s signet ring; for whatever is written in the king’s name and

sealed with the king’s signet ring no one can revoke.”



In the same way; God makes a better Covenant

in Christ Jesus for us

The ultimate blood sacrifice. God died and

took our place.

When we die with him we are dead to any other

covenant.



Hebrews 10:9

9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He

Implications

We must look back today at the choices

we made.

We must also look back at the choices that were made on

our behalf for us and our families.


Implications

We must say to the Lord: I am starting over a new order in my life.

A New Life

A New Beginning

A New Hope

A Clean Slate


Statement of Faith

The Old Covenant stops with me today.

The effect of the consequences and its right to exist comes to naught.

I make a New Covenant in its place.


Statement of Faith

A new agreement for me and my family.

I break sins by being righteous, and iniquities by showing mercy.

In Jesus Name. Amen
