INTRODUCTION

Hindusthan Copper Limited was set up on 9th november,1967

It is a public sector enterprise. The major activities of HCL are exploration mining, concentration, smelting, refining and casting of finished copper metal into saleable products

HCL produces about 4.8 million tones of ore and 31000 M tones per annum of refined copper.

GENERAL LOCATION

HCL is situated in the cradle of Arawali hills in Jhunjhunu.

11 km North-East of khetri town. 380 Meter above sea level. Average Rainfall is 500 mm per year. It is at the Northern end of the large copper belt

extending from Singhana to Raghunathgarh

Ball Mill are driven by a 920 kw,200 rpm ,3.3 KV synchronous motor.

The diameter of balls varies from 1’’ to 1½’’.

Maximum output of Ball mill is 200 MT/hr.

Length of the Rod is 17’ Feet.

The weight of Rods is 27 tons.
