“La Bella Vita”- Venice Carnival Cruise 2018
Our luxury all-inclusive hotel barge will be your home in Venice during one of the most famous Carnival in the world.
Saturday, 03rd February 2018 - Day 1 VENICE Guests are met at the designated pick up point in Venice on Sunday at 1.30pm and transferred to La Bella Vita. A Prosecco welcome gives you a chance to meet the crew, followed by the lunch while cruising the Giudecca Canal where we admire some of the most famous monuments of Venice. Visit to the Doge’s Palace and dinner aboard, followed perhaps by an evening stroll to the magnificent St Mark’s square. We moor overnight in the Riva Sette Martiri by the Naval Museum.
Sunday, 04th February 2018 - Day 2 VENICE – St. Mark’s Square
The “Flight of the Angel” officially opens the Venetian Carnival in the morning. It is a traditional event that goes back to the Serenissima period where an unknown guest of Venice, flying along a rope from San Marco bell tower to the middle of the square, will offer an homage to the Doge, and will be greeted by the crowded parterre of the period costumes parades of the Historical Re-enactments. After lunch, relax aboard or wander. Dinner and overnight aboard.

Monday, 05th February 2018 - Day 3 VENICE Free time in the morning to relax on board or wander in the city centre. Lunch on board and
afternoon visit to Ca’ Macana, one of the oldest and finest mask making workshops in Venice. Authentic handmade masks are still crafted here in the same way Venetian artisans would do 800 years ago and decorations are never repeated, so each mask is unique. Ca’ Macana masks were featured in important film productions like Eyes Wide Shut by Stanley Kubrick and theatres like the Vienna Opera Haus. Dinner and overnight on board.
Tuesday, 06th February 2018 - Day 4 BURANO and MINUETTO LESSON After brunch on board a private boat will take you to Burano, the most colourful island of the
Venetian Lagoon. Let’s admire the brightly-painted houses and discover the handmade lace tradition by visiting the island's lace-making museum - Museo del Merletto. Exploring Burano provides countless photo opportunities, don’t miss it! Lunch on board and afternoon Minuetto lesson at the very famous Hotel Danieli having fun learning the basic steps of group dances from the 1700s. We will rent a period costume for you and you will never forget this Carnival! Dinner and overnight on board. Wednesday, 07th Febr. 2018 - Day 5 MURANO Relaxing morning with brunch before a private
boat takes you to Murano island. Murano is famed worldwide for its glass industry, transferred to the island from Venice in the late 13th century because of the fire risk - most of Venice's buildings were wooden at the time. You will join this fascinating art by attending the glass-blowing demonstration held in an ancient glass-factory. Dinner and overnight on board.
Thursday, 08th February 2018 - Day 6 VENICE - TIEPOLO BALL
Morning appointment at the Atelier for your costume fitting for your Venetian Masked Ball. You will have pre-selected your costume from an on-line catalogue, so this appointment is to ensure it fits well and you feel amazing wearing it. Spend this morning promenading around Venice in costume - one of the highlights of the Venetian Carnival . Feel truly special as you wander around St Mark's Square. After lunch on board your barge will sail the Venetian Lagoon and admire beautiful landscapes and islands.

In the afternoon Venice Carnival “Shrove Thursday” is waiting for you in your Venetian costume and mask! The fame of prestige and kingship of the Tiepolo Ball is largely due to the wonderful setting in which it takes place: Palazzo Pisani Moretta, Venice, is a valuable example of a noble Venetian home of the XV/XVI century in late Gothic style. Vintage dresses, traditional dances, music and great food, during dinner, the beautiful central hall of Palazzo Pisani Moretta will be transformed into a 18th century ballroom: a classical orchestra and expert dance teachers will guide you in the traditional dance of the 18th century, such as minuets, waltzes and contraddanze. Overnight on board. Friday, 09th February 2018 - Day 7 VENICE - DEPARTURES After breakfast passengers disembark for the transfer arranged with the Tour Leader. The price includes:
• Transfer to the barge from the meeting point on Saturday,
• 6 night cruise, all meals on board catered by the on board Master Chef,
• open bar 24/7 with a large range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks,
• all wines served throughout the cruise,
• excursions and admittance fees as per the itinerary: tickets and guided visit to the Doge’s Palace, boat transfers to Burano and Murano islands, visit to Ca’ Macana, Minuetto Lesson at Hotel Danieli with rental of custom, Tiepolo Ball with rental of custom,
• use of barge facilities,
• transfer back to the drop off point the following Friday morning.
The price does not include: The costume will match the rent of Venetian masks and other accessories such as the wig, hats, coats and shoes to complete the disguise in every detail! Prices only include costume rental in Venice and vary according to the model for any accessories (hats, masks, capes, wigs, ... which have an extra cost) that you will want to match to the costume on the spot.
The costume rental for Women: includes the dress (includes any petticoats, basket or cages) and the accessories that are part of the same costume (handbags, fastenings, pins, etc.).
The costume rental for men: includes the suit and any necessary accessories (shirt, jabot, bows for shoes).
