WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM?

An escape room is a fully interactive and physical game. You and your team will be locked in a themed room. Your goal is to work together and use elements around you to find clues and solve puzzles in order to escape the room within a certain time limit. Not only is an escape room a lot of fun, it’s an excellent team building activity and mental challenge!

ESCAPE CANTON is a production of the Factory of Terror. Located at and run by FOT, Escape Canton currently has SIX different operating escape rooms , including:

● The Heist (60 minutes) ● Outbreak (60 minutes) ~ includes LIVE zombie ● Serial Killer (30 minutes) ● The Cursed Tomb (30 minutes) ● Jail Escape (30 minutes) ● Zombie Safehouse (30 minutes)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


● How can I book an escape room? You may book a room(s) by going to ESCAPECANTON.COM and clicking “BOOK NOW .” OR you can call us at 330.536.3327 OR email us at [email protected] . We require rooms to be scheduled at least a few hours in advance in order to ensure staff scheduling. There are certain times set aside for availability for each room each day, and rooms can only be booked for the listed times on the ticketing page. Unscheduled arrivals and walk-ins are discouraged for this reason.

● Is there an age limit? Technically speaking, no. However, we recommend that players be at least 8-years of age.

● Is it scary? Only 2 of our 6 rooms can be considered “scary.” Outbreak, which involves a live-action zombie actor, and Serial Killer, which is themed to a mature level and features a “jump” scare. But, neither room is scary like the haunted house.

● How long before my scheduled time do I need to arrive? Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure that your group is together and know the rules for your escape room.

● How many people can play in an escape room? The Heist & Outbreak - 4-10 ppl; Safe House Escape, Serial Killer, Cursed Tomb and Jailhouse - 2-8 ppl.

● If I am late can I still play? If you arrive after the time on your ticket and the game has begun, you will not be able to participate as it would disrupt the game for the other players in that time slot.

● Will I be playing the game with people I don’t know? Maybe. We recommend you play the games with your own group. If your group is small, you may be matched up with people you do not know. Don’t worry, this can actually make you experience more fun.

● Will I actually be locked in a room? Yes, the room will be locked at the start of the game. An emergency / panic exit button is located inside the room in the event you must exit the room.

● What should we wear? Please dress to escape. We recommend clothes and shoes that are comfortable to bend, reach, sit, and move around. Heels, open-toed shoes, and dresses are not recommended.



OUTBREAK (60 min. room)


OUTBREAK is one of Escape Canton’s 60-MINUTE escape rooms. More time means more puzzles to solve, therefore the difficulty level is higher. We ask that at least 4 people, and no more than 10, attempt this room at a time.

While answering a help wanted posting at the local bio-chemical research lab, an outbreak of chemically created zombies occurs! You suddenly decide that locking yourselves in the boiler room to escape the research team wasn’t the best idea... will your team make it or become infected?

*NOTE: This room involves a live-action zombie actor. Please do not book this room if you or anyone in your group can not handle the zombie being in the room with them.

THE HEIST (60 min. room)


THE HEIST is one of Escape Canton’s 60-MINUTE escape rooms. More time means more puzzles to solve, therefore the difficulty level is higher. We ask that at least 4 people, and no more than 10, attempt this room at a time.

You and your team find yourselves as accomplices to a jewel heist. What seems like your average robbery quickly takes a turn for the worse when you learn your team can’t trust their new business partner. Escape the vault before you meet the same fate as his last partner in crime.



SERIAL KILLER (30 min. room)


SERIAL KILLER is one of Escape Canton’s 30-MINUTE escape rooms. We ask that at least 4 people, and no more than 8, attempt this room at a time.

Meet Mike… Our resident psychopath. You and your friends are driving along a deserted road when your car breaks down. With no cell service you decide to walk to the closest house. Mike seems like a nice guy and invites you in. Once you step into his house you become his next victims. He locks you and your friends into his secret room. Your only chance for survival is to find your way out... does your team have what it takes to survive?

*NOTE: This room involves a jump scare. Please do not book this room if you or anyone in your group can not handle being startled.



CURSED TOMB (30 min. room)


THE CURSED TOMB is one of Escape Canton’s 30-MINUTE escape rooms. We ask that at least 4 people, and no more than 8, attempt this room at a time.

You and your team of archaeologists stumble across the discovery of a lifetime in a hidden tomb. Little does your team know, within these tomb walls are secrets untold along with cursed objects. You must now find your way out before your oxygen runs out and you become part of this tomb’s untold secret. Will your discoveries become your success or your demise?



JAIL ESCAPE (30 min. room)


JAIL ESCAPE is one of Escape Canton’s 30-MINUTE escape rooms. We ask that at least 4 people, and no more than 8, attempt this room at a time.

While traveling through a small town you get yourselves tossed in the slammer by a small town Sheriff. Break out of the jailhouse before you become part of this town’s dark little secret. Escaping from jail is hard enough, can your team do it in under 30 minutes?



ZOMBIE SAFEHOUSE

(30 min. room)


ZOMBIE SAFEHOUSE is one of Escape Canton’s 30-MINUTE escape rooms. We ask that at least 4 people, and no more than 8, attempt this room at a time.

You and your friends take safety inside a mobile home to avoid becoming a human buffet for a hoard of zombies. But this safehouse is a little too safe. Crack the codes to call for your extraction before the zombies arrive on your doorstep. Will you make it out before the zombies get to you?
