Il 57° Salone Nautico, dedicato a Carlo Riva, protagonista assoluto della storia e del

successo in tutto il mondo dell’eccellenza della nautica Made in Italy, si è contraddistinto per

diversi momenti importanti, tra questi la firma del Protocollo d’Intesa tra Istituzioni e UCINA

Confindustria Nautica, con l’obiettivo di consolidare il Salone Nautico di Genova anche per gli

anni a venire.

The 57th Genoa Boat Show, dedicated to Carlo Riva, who brought the history and the success

of Made in Italy excellence in this field all over the world, has mattered to the nautical sector for

showing a clear signal of improvement.

The event has distinguished itself for several important topics, such as the signing of the agreement

among Institutions and Ucina Confindustria Nautica with the aim of enhancing the Genoa Boat

Show for years to come.

Una particolare energia ha accompagnato il 57° Salone Nautico di Genova. l’energia di Carlo Riva, icona della nautica e ambasciatore nel

mondo dell’eccellenza del Made in Italy, scomparso il 10 Aprile scorso.

Durante la cerimonia d’apertura del Salone, alla quale ha partecipato anche la sua famiglia, Carlo Riva è stato ricordato in un video che

ha ripercorso la sua determinazione e la sua strabiliante carriera anche attraverso le parole dette al padre: «Vedi quella bottiglia sul

tavolo? Se vuoi me la puoi rompere sulla testa, ma ricordati che farò le barche come voglio io».

There was a special energy at the 57th Genoa Boat Show, the energy that comes from the memory of Carlo Riva, icon of the

Italian style and ambassador all over the world of the excellence of the Made in Italy, that passed away on April 10th, 2017.

Riva’s family attended the opening ceremony of the Genoa Boat Show where a video that went through the incredible series

of his accomplishments was shown. Riva’s voice and character shown through: “See that bottle on the table,” he said to his

father in some vintage footage. “You can break it over my head if you want, but remember that I’m going to build boats just

the way I want to anyway.”

Il cantiere mancava da Genova da parecchio tempo e con grande determinazione abbiamo deciso di tornare, pensiamo di aver fatto un buon lavoro e il bilancio è assolutamente positivo.

Nautor’s Swan hasn’t been at the Genoa Boat Show for a long time and we were really determined to come back. I think it was the right choice and the signs have been positive.

Un percorso fotografico in suo onore, come dei fotogrammi di un film, ci hanno accompagnato nella sua vita fatta di

successi e di barche di incredibile bellezza. la sua ricerca della perfezione e la cura maniacale di alcuni particolari, oltre

che percettibili dalle foto, sono state rese tangibili con la presenza di tre imbarcazioni made in Riva: un esemplare unico al

mondo di lancia realizzato negli anni ’30 da Serafino Riva, papà di Carlo, un introvabile Sebino del 1954 (solo 119 esemplari

costruiti), e un Super Ariston del 1968.

Un ritorno alla Dolce Vita che ha coinvolto e affascinato anche i visitatori delle nuove generazioni di questa edizione.

A tour of the show of photos from important moments of his life was like walking through film stills recounting a series of

successes and beautiful boats. his search for perfection and his extreme attention to detail were evident from the photos and from

three Riva boats that were at the Genoa Boat Show: a one-of-a-kind “Lancia” from the 1930s built by Riva’s father Serafino, a rare

Sebino from 1954 (there were only 119 built), and a Super Ariston from 1968.

These photos and boats were a return to the Dolce Vita years that attracted and fascinated the public of all ages.

57 alberi in legno di acero rosso e acciaio bianco, alti 12 metri, sulla cui sommità svettano fiamme in tessuto di spinnaker colorato,

per dare evidenza alla direzione e all’intensità del vento: è la Piazza del Vento, un progetto nato da un’ispirazione dell’Architetto

Renzo Piano, contributo offerto al 57° Salone Nautico e alla città di Genova, presentato e inaugurato durante l’edizione.

57 flagpoles in red maple and white steel, 12 meters high with flame-like banners made from spinnaker material signalling

the direction and intensity of the wind: these are the symbol of the Piazza del Vento, a project born from an inspiration of

the architect Renzo Piano and offered by the 57th Genoa Boat Show to the city of Genoa. The Piazza was presented and

inaugurated during the Genoa Boat Show.

Ottimo Salone e grande vitalità per il settore dei catamarani a vela e motore. Siamo stati il maggiore espositore di catamarani di questa edizione e registriamo un forte incremento di vendite in Italia.

It was a great Boat Show and the catamaran sector was going strong, both for sailing and for motor cats. We were the largest exhibitor of catamarans in this edition of the Boat Show and we’re seeing a strong increase of sales in Italy.

Piazza del Vento è un’installazione che rappresenta la legacy dell’evento alla città,

un’opera divenuta permanente che conferma la stretta relazione tra l’energia del

mare e del vento e i suoi abitanti.

Based on an inspiration of Renzo Piano’s and created by Paolo Brescia and Tommaso

Principi’s Studio OBR, the Piazza del Vento is an inspiration that represents the Genoa

Boat Show’s legacy towards the city of Genoa. This opera will be a permanent installation

that represents the close relationship between the energy of the sea and the wind and the

people of the city of Genoa.

Con un aumento del 16,5% rispetto allo scorso anno, il 57° Salone Nautico si è concluso con numeri importanti che

certificano il suo indiscusso successo. Un’affluenza sorprendente che ha caratterizzato in modo costante i 6 giorni

dell’evento e che ha registrato anche una presenza di 34.122 visitatori stranieri.

With 16,5% more visitors than the previous edition, the 57th Genoa Boat Show concluded with numbers that

pointed to a success. The number of visitors was a pleasant surprise that was well distributed throughout the

six days of the event. Another significant statistic is that 34.122 of this year’s visitors were not Italian.

Un’edizione che conferma ancora una volta il Salone come punto di riferimento per l’intero settore della

nautica, anche internazionale – dalla costruzione alla produzione di imbarcazioni e accessori, dai servizi

al turismo, dai media a tutti gli amanti del mare – che vanta espositori provenienti da 32 Paesi e il ritorno o

l’esordio di 70 importanti brand italiani ed esteri. Rilevante anche l’aumento degli espositori nel settore degli

accessori e componenti che nel 57° Salone Nautico sono stati l’11,8% in più rispetto al 2016.

The 2017 edition confirms that the Genoa Boat Show is a reference point for the entire nautical sector, both

Italian and international. From the construction to the production of boats and accessories from boat related

services to nautical tourism, from media to people who love to live the sea. exhibitors from 32 different nations

and the return or the debut at the Genoa Boat Show of 70 top Italian and international brands. Also significant is the

fact that there were 11.8% more exhibitors of nautical components and accessories at this year’s Genoa Boat Show

compared to the 2016 edition.

Con un aumento del 10% di espositori esteri, il 57° Salone Nautico ha accolto oltre 80 unità in più rispetto allo

scorso anno, esposte in acqua. In particolare la vela ha registrato un aumento di presenze del 3,5%, gli entrobordo

il +14% e le imbarcazioni pneumatiche – di cui l’Italia è primo produttore al mondo – un +9%.

With 10% more international exhibitors, the 57th Genoa Boat Show had 80 more boats on display in the

water than the 2016 edition. There were 3.5% more sailing boats, 14% more inboards and inflatables, a sector

where Italy is world leader, were 9% more.

CaNtiere Del ParDo

Un bilancio più che positivo, siamo andati oltre ogni aspettativa, quindi la nostra presenza per il 2018 non puo’ che essere riconfermata, così come

per gli anni a venire.

The end result is better than positive, we surpassed even our rosiest expectations. For sure we’ll be back in 2018 and in the following years too.

In netta crescita rispetto allo scorso anno le prove delle imbarcazioni, che hanno permesso ai visitatori di

provare concretamente le ultime novità del mercato esposte al 57° Salone Nautico.

Numeri in aumento arrivano anche dalla Sea Experience, l’area dedicata alle dimostrazioni e prove sport,

in cui è stato possibile testare biciclette elettriche, overboard, monopattini, pedane elettriche. Uno scenario

privilegiato per gli appassionati del mare che ha visto oltre 1.000 ragazzi delle scuole provare in prima persona

l’emozione della navigazione.

Sea trials have significantly increased from the last year. At the 57th Boat Show all visitors could try the newest

boats. The numbers of Sea experience have grown too. This area, devoted to demonstrations and sport trials, also

hosted trials of electric bikes, hoverboards, scooters and electric platforms. A special scenery for sea enthusiasts

where over a thousand of young people from schools experienced the joy of navigation.

Era importante partecipare in quanto questo è il Salone italiano e c’è un forte segnale di ripresa. Abbiamo firmato contratti per barche per cui le trattative erano iniziate la settimana prima a Cannes.

It was important to us to come because this is “the” Italian boat show and we are seeing strong signs of a comeback. We signed contracts here on deals that were begun at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The 57th Genoa Boat Show further consolidated the close ties that this event has and has always had with the city of Genoa

and the area around it. This year, Genoa Boat Show related events left the Zona Fiera to animate the most characteristic
