Project 2 required me to put my reading coprehension skills to tie in with my creative ability.I read a book on creativity, which inspired me to make the following pictures. This project showed me different ways in which I could use my creative ability to design inspirational captions on pictures.

This piece was the first colored version of my comic book art project. I made this by selecting all the desired parts of the image and coloring them random colors, in order to know what areas I wanted to color. I did this so I could easily change the colors in my final.

All the Feels required another level of thinking on connecting with the viewer and feeling empathy. After developing a few strategies to create images, I needed to put myself in the shoes of the viewer, and see if my images really evoked emotion. I learned about how and how not to evoke emotion.

After completing my Comic Book Art Flats, I finished the project using real colors that I knew to be colors that represented The Flash. I enjoyed doing this project, because I loved seeing the evolution of a black and white drawing.

The Double Exposures project introduced me to the idea of working with a client, and put me in a professional setting for the first time. This project was the first one I had completed on Photoshop, and after finishing it, I found my incentive to work on more projects using Photoshop, as the end products of my hard work proved to be very impressive to me.

For my final project in the design class, I decided to create a series of 11 caricatures in order to represent the humor in distorted physical features, as well as having some fun and learning new skills in Photoshop. I learned many things during this project, such as keeping up with my deadlines, using the Liquify and Warp tools in Photoshop, and understanding how to manipulate any person’s facial features to achieve my desired effects.
