3 Master degrees in English
over 65 subjects taught in English
When we started(many years ago…)

- Strong motivation of both institutions to reach a common goal
- Availability to give up something (both parties)
The DD is ready and now?
• Spread the info among your students• Spread the info among other italian students (newly gradutates of other universities)
• Spread the info to your international partners
• Importance of the local coordinator to boost this opportunity
Promoting the DD
• Fix a budget
• Pinpoint the target
• Identify the best media for promotion
• Timetable the promotional activities
We signed our first DD agreement in July 2009
Erasmus for study
and research
We selected our first 3 DD students in September 2009.
Last academic year: • We sent our 25 DD students (80% with a non-
Unife bachelor) • We received 12 DD students from partner
universities
Present academic year:• Selection is not yet done but results are
incouraging

English degree courses: a domestic problem?
• Increase the number of international students vs decreasing the number of italian ones?
• Attract only italian students with a good family background?
• Is it useful to have most part of the courses in English?
• Staff must be fluent in English: not so obvious
