Retrospectiva 2.0 is a catalogue of emotions.In this performance, which at times takes theform of a danced conference, Daniel Doñareviews, researches and acknowledges thechoreographic work he has been developingfor the past decade, both in the capacity ofchoreographer and as director of his ownindependent dance company.
It is a veritable guidebook of authenticityand style, which takes us on an emotionaljourney through the reasons behindsome of the most applauded pieces in hiscompany's repertoire. For this occasion,Doña has created a coherent, holisticperformance in its own right, bearing allthe hallmarks of his original dramaturgyand artistic discourse. He has managedto convert this scenic format into anauthentic choreographic legacy capableof connecting with all types of audiences.

THE COMPANY
In 2013 the choreographer and dancer DanielDoña created what has now become one ofthe foremost exponents of performances andcreations on the current scene of Spanishdance. The choreographic discourse of this groupstraddles between flamenco and contemporarydance.
According to the specialised press, the creationsby the Daniel Doña Dance Company has redefinedtraditional codes and shaken up the currentscene in an intricate design of poetics tappinginto tradition and vanguard from which theirown language has ensued.
Since its inception, this consolidated companyhas strived to captivate new spectators. Withchoreographic feats in different scenic formats,they have continuously pioneered throughnew artistic ground beyond the limits of rigidtraditionalism, such as in: A Pie ['On Foot'] (2013),A pie de calle ['At Street Level'] and Black Box(2014), No Pausa ['No Break'] and Nada personal['Nothing personal'] (2015), Hábitat (2016), Cuerpoa Cuerpo ['Body to Body'] (2017), Retrospectiva2.0 [`Retrospective'] (2018), Psique ['Psyche'](2019) and Campo cerrado ['Behind ClosedDoors'] (2020).
