L o w - R i s e C u r t a i n W a l lOur low-rise curtain wall suite comprises of a split box box-section which can be manufactured in ladders off site. TheSCW Curtain Wall is a cost-effective semi-unitised, zone-drained and pressure equalized aluminium system. It offersa slim 50mm sightline, with a choice of 3 mullion and 4transom depths. The system is capable of being fabricatedinto ladders for quick assembly on site.

This systems is suitable for low-rise applications and idealfor retail environments, offices and schools.

M i d - H i g h R i s e C u r t a i n W a l lCurtain walling is a grid-form glazing system that gets itsname from the fact it is none load bearing and is often hungfrom a buildings structure. Although this is not always thecase, the curtain wall grid can also be dead-loaded.

Visible grid curtain wall suite works around three basicelements; a back box which determines the rigidity andstructural span capabilities of the system, a pressure Platewhich is mechanically tensioned to retain the glass and a facecap to give a neat external finish. The face caps are availablein a number of different designs from each of our suppliers.Most commonly they are supplied with a square or ‘aerofoil’type design.

Curtain wall screens can be faceted to varying degrees, rakedand can be designed on either a positive of negative gradientproviding sufficient structural support is provided.

Tr a m e C u r t a i n W a l lDortechs Trame systems can either be applied vertically orhorizontally. The systems are generally specified when buildingdesigners wish to create enhanced vertical or horizontal emphasisin a curtain wall screen. This is achieved in the following ways:

Trame Horizontale: An aerofoils external face cap is applied to allhorizontal sections of the curtain wall screen. This cap generallyextends 80mm out from the glass face. Further extension is madepossible with extension pieces. Vertically, the face caps areremoved and replaced with either a flush fitted gasket or siliconeapplication.

Trame Verticale: This curtain wall system works on the same basisas Trame Horizontale however the emphasis is placed on thevertical sections which have a aerofoil face caps instead ofsilicone/gasket. The horizontale sections have either silicone or aflush fitted gasket applied to them.

S G / C a p l e s s C u r t a i n W a l lDortechs Structural Silicone Glazed Curtain Wallsystems can be used to create almost perfectly flush-fitted glass facades. The appearance of structuralglazing is achieved by using profiles that are onlyvisible on the room side. From the outside, only theglazing and the slender shadow joints are visible. Thegap between each piece of glass is approximately25mm (this can vary) in comparison to the 50 &60mm site line prevalent with traditional, visible gridcurtain wall systems.

C u r t a i n W a l l R o o f G l a z i n gDortech has an extremely competent design resourcewith a considerable amount of experience indesigning roof lights of varying complexity. Our rooflights have excellent thermal performance and aresuitable for glazing walkways, conservatories andatria.

Whilst slopes are commonly specified at 30 degrees or45 degrees, they can be as low as 10degrees orapproach 9 degrees. The system can also be used forvertical glazing. The systems has a cascade internalwater management system.

Dortech can offer mono pitch and dual pitch rooflightsin a variety of configurations (as shown in the imageson the right).

This frame is idea for architects who want to design aflush appearance facade which can facilitateventilation, without large and bulky window frames.Dortechs concealed vents can be installed into curtainwall (either capped or capless) or can be installed intoprepared openings independently.

Our channel Glazed systemis ideal for environments that require large display screens such as car showrooms and retail environments. Each piece of glass is held in place withperimeter steel channels and intermediate sections are silicone sealed.

The final effect is clear, uninterrupted areas of flush glazing, ideal formaximising retail space and significantly enhancing a buildings aesthetics.
