rains within 4 days▼ Damage of up to 1,025.84 billion INR (US $15

billion)▼ Fuel supplies were also hard hit as refineries

were closed leading to ‘No stock’ signs appearing at filling stations

▼ Chennai airport was shut until 8 December due to runways being flooded.

▼ Road closures and blockages meant numerous employees were stranded and unable to access their place of work

▼ Corporates had to send users to restore work after 4 days to nearby city like Bengaluru by road
