on Battlefields in Europe
Eight more Nassau soldiers were wounded in action on the Western Front, the Army reported today.
They are: HERMAN GREENBAUM, private,

VINCENT D. KEENEY, lieutenant, husband of Mrs. Marcello F. Keeney of 52 Leonard avenue, Free-port.

Valley Stream Soldier In Hospital in England
Private First Class Daniel W. Klippel, 19, of 97 Bismark avenue, Valley Stream, was wounded Dec. 11 in Germany, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Klippel, were informed
Born in Valley Stream, he entered the service July, 1943, a month after graduating from V a l l e y Stream Central High School.
Private Klippel, now hospitalized in England, went overseas last October. A brother, Edwin, 30, is in service in North Africa.

gen Forest, Germany, Private Anthony Krysintki Jr., 26, of 438 Ros
lyn avenue, Carle Place, was hit in the left side ind left arm by bullets fired by a German machine gun less than 100 yards away.
He is recovering at an Army general hospital, in England.
Private Krysinski served as a front-line medic with the same infantry division after D-Day plus three. His brother, Edward, is fighting on the Continent with a field artillery battalion.
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Krysinski Sr., parents of the two soldiers, live at the Roslyil avenue address.
New Hyde Park Man Wounded in Belgium
Staff Sergeant Earl N. Keith, 33, of 101 Sylvia lane, Lakeville Estates, New Hyde Park, was wounded Dec. 26 in Belgium, his wife, Mrs. Marian Keith, was informed.
Sergeant Keith, a former manager for Ray-Bicks food shop in Woodside, entered the service in March, 1944, and went overseas In August. He is in a hospital in England, recovering from a leg wound.
He has a son, Walter Earl, 2.

Jamaica Marine, Awarded Bronze Star, Now Fights
on Iwo Lieutenant John J. (Jack) Kearns
of Jamaica, who is helping the Marines make history on Iwo Jima, won the Bronze Star Medal during the Marianas campaign last summer, it was announced today.
Lieutenant Kearns, 26, son of Mrs. Agnes Kearns of 145-45 South street, was cited by Marine Lieutenant General Holland M. Smith, who commands one of the Marine divisions battling the Japs on Iwo Jima.
Athletic Star . A graduate of Chaminade High
School, Mineola, and St. John's University, he was widely known as a basketball and baseball player and also was a life guard at Jones Beach. He played on Joe Austin's All Stars and with the St. Monica's Lyceum teams.
His sister, Marion, is a telephone operator at the Jamaica Domestic Relations Count.
Lieutenant Kearns' Bronze Star citation was for "meritorious achievement in action against the enemy as a platoon leader of a 37-millimeter gun platoon on Sai-pan from June 15 to Aug. 9, 1944."
Ignored Own Safety "First Lieutenant Kearns at all
times performed with courage, skill and utter disregard of his own personal safety," the citation said.

Oceanside Soldier Shot In Mouth «
Private Richard J. Sweeney of Oceanside was shot in the mouth and leg whilt fighting in France Dec. 2. He is in a hospital in England.
The 20-year*old infantryman, who entered the Army two years ago, lived with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Sweeney at 662 Merrick road.
John, a brother, is a staff sergeant with the artillery in Belguim.
REUNION "DOWN UNDER" KANSAS CITY, Mo. (UP)—Lieu
tenant Clark McCarthy, late of Kansas City and now of the U. S. Navy, was standing at a street intersection in Australia recently when he was startled by the insistent honking of an automobile horn. The button-pusher was Sergeant James Thoop, lifelond friend and erstwhile next door neighbor of McCarthy's. The chance meeting was their first in several years.

Air Medals won by Long Island Army fliers listed as missing, dead or captured were awarded Wednesday at Mitchel Field to their nearest of kin.
Among those honored, and the
relatives who received their awards, were:
ST. ALBANS—Staff Sergeant Al-phonse S. Dominski of 205-25 112th road, whose medal with three bronze Oak Leaf Clusters was presented to his mother, Mrs. Mary Dominski.
MASPETH—Technical Sergeant Samuel Glasser of 59-13 Grand avenue, whose sister, Gussie Glasser, received his medal and one Cluster.
