JILTED lovers and misogynists oftenfind February’s romantic festivitieshard to swallow, so to keep solidarityup they’re meeting at the Royal Ex-change this weekend.

Daryush “Roosh” Val-izadeh, a self-proclaimed“pick-up artist” who wasfamously interviewed bythe BBC over the Men’sRights Movement and hisattempts to teach blokesto chat to womenfolk, isorganising an “Interna-tional Meetup Day” for hisloyal following.

There will be 165 meetups world-wide at 8pm on Saturday for Menin-ists to mingle and talk about howawful women are, and London hasbeen blessed with two meetups: oneof which, says Valizadeh, is “in frontof the Royal Exchange.”We weren’t sure why waiting under-

around for it, as theshopping centre closes on

weekends. The spokesperson was very

keen to distance the high-end retailerfrom the group, stressing that thespot of land the chaps have chosen tomeet at is ten whole meters from thethe property’s boundary. “Anythingfurther than the stairs isn’t ours!”. He also added that the security team

will be on site as per usual.

Rewarding Performance

When Nick Leeson single-handedly brought down a bank in 1995, Coalface did not exist. If it did, Nick could have improved his performance with trading analysis from Coalface.

QUOTE OF THE DAY...

From the head ofJeep’s US sales ReidBigland, on the motormaker’s successdespite stormyweather last month.Who cares aboutnature, anyway?

HAGUE THINKS MOBILISING THEEU IS LIKE HERDING KITTENS

The Capitalistwonders what William Haguemakes of David Cameron’s “Red Card”idea? Part of the PM’s new deal withEuropean Comission president DonaldTusk means that EU legislation can bevetoed by the UK, provided 55 per cent ofmember states agree. However, Haguethinks that getting 14 EuropeanParliaments to vote with us is about aseasy as herding kittens. Back in 2008, hesaid: “even if the European Commissionproposed the slaughter of the first-born itwould be difficult to achieve such aremarkable conjunction of parliamentaryvotes.” And he’s campaigning for Remain.

Mother Naturewas no match forour Jeep brand.

The insurers in the Lloyds building are famous for drinking Leadenhall market’s pubsdry every week, but this time one of the building’s tenants was handing out thebooze. Insurer Sompo Canopius, formerly just Canopius, has changed its name tohonour the firm’s Japanese owners. In celebration of the news, Sompo Canopiushanded out free shots of sake at lunchtime on a Tuesday (well, why not?), while ateam of Japanese martial artists played drums and meditated for a crowd ofenthralled and slightly intoxicated insurers. Maybe this is a ploy to win over newclients in the area? To quote an old proverb from the far-east: “First the man takes adrink; then the drink takes a drink; then the drink takes the man.”
