Awaaz, meaning ‘A voice for women’,

works with women of all ages to

promote their rights. The charity works

with families from diverse backgrounds,

particularly those who feel isolated.

Awaaz runs programmes which focus

on making communities a safer place

for women. The activities include:

community mobilisation; school-based

education programmes; support

sessions; and children’s parties.

Awaaz ordered beauty gift sets and

washbags, which it has gifted to its

members.

Awaaz, Essex

Charity story5

“The products we get from In Kind Direct are varied, depending on the needs of the women who come to our group. We order toiletries for the women. Being able to give them a nice, branded product such makes them feel valued and encourages them to come back again..”

Bushra Tahir, Chairperson

Hackney Care for Kids has been

providing child care for pre-school

children in Hackney for over 20 years.

Hackney Care for Kids provides

families in the community with the

practical and pastoral support they

desperately need.

Many of the parents in this area

struggle financially and often need

additional support and advice, as well

as child care.

Hackney Care for Kids has received

shampoo and soap, which it has given

out to parents who are struggling

financially.

Hackney Care for Kids, London

Charity story7

The benefits of product giving

Reaching individual charities and arranging

donations is time consuming and complex.

With In Kind Direct, you can reach thousands of

charities – and millions of people – all through one point of contact.

Stock that is surplus to your company could net

you a small return from a liquidator, or become

your way of giving something back.

In Kind Direct helps you to clear your

warehouse, and then delivers your products to where they are needed most.

With our detailed reports on how your stock is

being put to use, you have the perfect way to

tell employees, customers and stakeholders

about the valuable help your company is giving

and tremendous impact you are making.

As well as helping you meet your CSR goals, In

Kind Direct helps you do your bit for the

environment. Your surplus stock doesn’t end up in landfill – it helps enhance lives.

In Kind Direct’s vetting and monitoring

procedures ensure there is control over where

your products go.

All donations are tracked so we can ensure

your goods will only be used for charitable

purposes and won’t turn up on market stalls, in charity shops or on online auction sites.

Share your surplus stock High impact

Peace of mind Inspire stakeholders

Get involved24

Volunteer with us

Cycle, run or walk - we have

lots of opportunities for you and

your team to raise funds and

support our work.

Invest in what In Kind Direct

plans to achieve by 2020,

building on the vision of our

Founder, HRH The Prince of

Wales.

Join our Patrons’ Network to

support In Kind Direct’s

development.

In Kind Direct can accept all

kinds of stock including ends of

lines, slight seconds, samples,

goods with damaged

packaging and returns.

We can accept any size of

donation into our warehouse in

Telford for onward distribution

to charities, from a few cartons

to multiple lorry loads.

Donate products

In Kind Direct welcomes teams

of volunteers year round to

help sort and prepare stock at

our warehouse in Telford,

Shropshire. It is physical, fun

and satisfying.

Help us get urgently needed

goods to charities across the

UK.
