Why did I chose these artists?

As for my fictional character, I gained the idea of counter stereotype personality through her hair style. Women are often perceived in pink clothing, long stylish hair, feminine personality and such.

However, I want to fully apply Richard Dyer’s Star Theory so I created a mood board of female artists with unique personalities. An example is Harley Quinn from the movie: Suicide Squad. Most girls tend to go to a room in order to change clothes however, Harley, on the other hand, confidently strip her clothing in front of people. You might say that she is no different from being seductive but she did not strip intentionally or for the purpose of ‘being looked at’. It is more of a child-like behaviour where she follows what she wants to do (seen in the second picture).

Great for Star Persona as they will ‘stands out’ due to the eccentric behaviour. To have an identity, they should be easily remembered or create brand awareness to their audience.
