Objective:

To challenge attitudes towards sectarianism and racism and to support conflict resolution and mediation at the local community level

Donegal CDB Peace and Reconciliation Partnership Substructure of CDB and set up in line with Departmental

direction 17 members – Reps from:

Trade Unions 1 Member

Business 1 Member

Farming 1 Member

Community/Voluntary Sector 6 Members Chairs of SPCs 3 Members

County Manager (Chair) 1 Member

State Agencies and Local Dev 4 Members

Donegal PEACE III Action Plan

Shared Vision:“Donegal a county where racism and sectarianism no longer exist and

where all feel equally valued and confident that they belong”.

4 Strategic Priorities/Aims: A. Challenge attitudes towards sectarianism and racism and the structures

that support them.

B. Promote active participation of PEACE Programme target groups in civil life in Donegal.

C. Promote greater community integration within Donegal and on a crossborder basis.

D. Support conflict resolution and mediation and address the legacy of the conflict.

Implementing the Plan

Secured €4.5million from the SEUPB 24 strategic actions
