New years day. Culd (cold) this morning & we made ready & started by Toms & here on to this (?) & they danced most of the night. Snud (snowed).

Midlin fine this morning & I started for (?) & it cume a storm but it cleared up. Midlin culd to night. Ed cume to see us he started home.

A nither fine morning & I dune (done) one thing or a nither home all day. Still fine to night.

January 6, 1906

A nither fine morning & I worked at my slay (sleigh) & fixt (fixed) it. Still & I started to Meting (Meeting) Creek for oats & I gut 9 ½ bushels & cume home. Still fine to night.

Sunday. A nither fine morning & Same (Sammie) went over to Toms & Archies & (?) cume to night & Frank also & we sat up most of the night. Still fine & I gave a rifle (?) to night.

A nither fine morning & we gut ready & started to Andrews they are making a dance to night & danced all night & we started over to (?) & campt.

Sunday. Midlin culd this morning & (?) started home & we will stay home all day & the weather is nut very fine yet looks like culd.

Nut very culd this morning & me & the old woman started to see the snares but we gut nuthing & (??) to night.

Midlin culd this morning & Georg started to White Brush & all a (?) the baby gut very sick & I sent for Ed to cume as fast as he culd (could) so he cume & we sit up all night it gut worse.

January 17, 1906

A fine morning & Ed his child left us (?) haff (half) past 8 pm this morning that is a (?) for us all this girl was born in July 22 between 23 at Buffalo Lake.

Snuing this morning & Ben & Ed started for the coffin & they cume 11 pm & we sat up all night. Still culd to night.

Midlin fine only snuing a little & they took the boys of & we went with them part of the way & I took the old woman to Toms & I set 4 snares for Tom & we cume home & (?) was (?). Still culd to night.

Midlin culd this morning & (?) started of & my son also went to White Brush & (?) started to Wilkins(?) & still could to night & they fixt up the house with paper.

Fine morning & we started to Stettler this morning & we gut there in good time & dune most all our business. Still fine to night.

Sunday. A nither fine morning & we gut ready & we had a hard time with (?) & we started 11 pm & cume to Doris(?) Whitfords & moved there & cume on home & we stped at Silver Whips house & home. Fine to night.
