Genesis 4:2-7 (NKJV)
2 . . . Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the
ground. 3 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. 4 Abel also brought of the

5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. 6 So the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should
rule over it."

Hebrews 10:36-39 (NKJV) 36 For you have need of endurance, so that
after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: 37 "For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him." 39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to
the saving of the soul.

their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
