DESCRIPTION
This was included in the LaserDisc jacket of Forrest Gump to explain the, then new, Dolby AC-3 system. Prior to AC-3 on LaserDisc, the best that could be done was 2 channels of digital sound and 2 channels of analog FM using CX Noise Reduction. Pioneer's preferred name for the AC-3 format on LaserDisc was "Laser Surround Digital" which is a stupid nameTRANSCRIPT
