On this walking wine tour of Il Soffio Sulle Eolie, take in the sights of Vulcano Island. You’ll be surrounded by Malvasia grapes and views of the sea from the winery terrace. Afterward, hop on a van to explore the most ancient church and lighthouse of the island and walk along the coast. Make the last stop memorable by taking a dip in the island’s black Sulphur beach. Please note the following: the water/mud has a very strong sulfurous odor. Patrons are encouraged to bring an older swimsuit as the mud may stain and the smell is almost impossible to remove. We also recommend bringing a change of clothes along with a plastic bag for your muddy swimsuit.

Enjoy a scenic walk filled with history and spectacular sights on this tour! Our first stop is at the Norman Castle in the town of Milazzo, followed by a stroll through the natural reserve of Capo Milazzo. Afterward, patrons will continue all the way down to Venus Lake and the cliffside fisherman’s village. Following the walking tour, we will make a pit stop at a local Sicilian hamburger place for lunch.

Travel back in time and discover medieval Noto before the 1693 earthquake that devastated the island! On this tour, walk the same paths that many of Sicily’s conquerors once did, along with the ruins of Noto Antica. Discover the ancient castles, monasteries and caves that played a part in the town’s daily life. After our trekking adventure, enjoy lunch at a local agriturismo.

Take in the sights and sounds of the Cassibile Valley! Descend 1,060 feet to the base of a marvelous canyon carved by the Cassibile River! Here you will find emerald green pools of water surrounded by lush oriental palm trees. Please note, this hike is demanding and participants are required to hike back up the canyon after enjoying the beauty at the bottom. Please remember to bring a swimsuit, plenty of water, snacks and a packed lunch. If needed, hiking backpacks can be rented from Community Recreation.
