A note about field trips -
Out of class experiences such as field trips are carefully planned tocoordinate with our curriculum. They add an important dimension to thelessons taught in class and to the materials read from texts. Ourteachers do a great deal of pre-planning and teaching prior to thesetrips. Please help us by returning the field trip slips you receive inthe mail promptly. We purposely send them to parents via first class mailwith return envelopes to make things as easy as possible for you. We alsoinclude a full explanation and details for the trip. Each class (grade2-Confirmation) is encouraged to go on at least one or two field trips peryear. Sometimes this necessitates a change in schedule for a family for aparticular day, but we can assure you that these trips have proven to beworthwhile for your children! Please work with us to provide Jewishenrichment experiences for our young people.

It takes a lot to supply 90% of the bloodresources needed by more than 4 million people in the 37 counties covering14,000 squares miles of Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and theDistrict of Columbia. Every 12 seconds, someone in our community needs atransfusion. Everyday, 700 people are needed to donate what keeps ourneighborhoods alive and well. Currently, less than 4% of the people inour community contribute the entire resource which helps the sick, rescuesthe accident victims, assists in surgery, and aids the birth of Rh factor.children.
