' The Deputy Director is required to assist theDirector with the administration and_ scientificdirection of the Institute, and to act for .him in hisabsence. The appointment is based on Kaduna,where the Institute’s Headquarters, Entomology andMedical Sections are situated, and the successfulapplicant will be required to make frequent visits toVom, 190 miles by road, where the Biochemistry,Protozoology and Veterinary Sections are located.

Candidates should be qualified in the medical orbiological sciences and have a minimum offive yearspost-graduate research experience,preferably in someaspect ofparasitology. ~ :
