This device allows you to hear your VHF Radio usingyour audio system (CD/DVD/radio/cassette playeretc) speakers - thus eliminating the need to addanother external extension VHF speaker.

It simply plugs inline on the audio system loom and isthen plugged into the “External Speaker” outlet ofyour fixed or hand held VHF radio. Once any voicecommands are received over the VHF one audiospeaker will be muted and the VHF commends will beheard over this speaker.

Whilst this is happening the other audio speakers will remainplaying the audio source. If the CD/radio player is turned off the interfacewill still utilise one speaker for the VHF radio.

MRD-70 AM/FM/CD/MP3 Multi-Zone Component System

The MRD-70 AM/FM/CD receiver and RD-44display are the base foundation for an expandablemulti-zone system that offers independent control inup to four zones equipped with the RD-44 RemoteDisplay and AMP02VOL Amplifier in each zone.

Easily connected through a single watertight DIN typecable, each remote has independent control over theaudio input source. The many unique features includean intercom that will allow communication betweenstations. Two auxiliary inputs on the main receiveraccommodates direct audio input from other audiosources/media players. Just plug in your iPod®, TVor VCR and you have great audio throughout thesystem.

The unique mounting system for the waterproofdisplay accommodates Panel, Pod or bracketmounting.

RF (Radio Frequency) remote controls are available for many different headunits.

There are three models available: Key fob floating type with mounting clip, Steering wheel CentreHub Mount and Console mount. Both the floating and steering wheel type are battery operated, sothere is no hard wiring required, the Console mount unit will require a 12v supply.

RF remote controls will operate at great lengths from the CD head unit (up to 50m) and willoperate through any material, so no ‘line of sight’ operation is required, unlike IR (Infra Red) typeremotes.

Note: The mounting clip for the Key fob has a bevelled mounting clip allowing the unit to be mountedto a water ski rope handle, stainless steel poles, stanchions etc. When you purchase this unit youwill receive a small “receiver” that plugs directly into the back of the relevant head unit (where thestandard remote control would usually plug in). PLEASE ENSURE YOUR HEAD UNIT IS REMOTECOMPATIBLE!
