For twenty years the Buck Foundation has supported Rogers Public Schools students in their post-graduate endeavors. We are grateful to them for their contributions to our students and for the standard of community service they set in Northwest Arkansas. Their commitment to education and our students is extraordinary & changes lives.

A message from Jan Buck, Director of The Buck Foundation:

The Buck Pride of Heritage Scholarship, Buck Merit Scholarships and Buck Upperclassmen Awards have become a prestigious and sought-after honor. We look for a student with an appreciation of community and school, and one who recognizes the positive impact those

institutions made on his or her life. Our recipients must recognize that a strong community is made of givers of time, talent and resources, and is a person who has demonstrated a

willingness to serve.

Sophia Kessler

Being the first person in your family to attend college is not an easy task. You have overcome many obstacles but are only getting ready to accept new challenges. I share this not to scare you, but to encourage you to never forget where you come from and the sacrifices that it took to get here. Your struggles do not define you, but how you deal with them does. Remember to treat yourself with kindness and encouragement along your life journey. It is important to celebrate all victories, large and small as you work towards fulfilling your dreams. If you ever get homesick, remind yourself that we are rooting for you. You may be graduating, but HHS LULAC will always be here to support you.

Thank you for the legacy you have created. We will miss you Class of 2020.--- Mr. Resendiz

Rogers Honors Academy

We are all so proud of the Rogers Honors Academy students. They have challenged themselves academically each year, improved our region through their work outside of school in jobs and community service, and researched, identified and been accepted into their ‘best fit’ college. With the help of their teachers and counselors these students have been successful academically and are now heading to the nation’s top schools including Yale, University of Chicago, Northwestern and as Distinguished Scholars and Fellows and members of the Honors College at the University of Arkansas.

These students exhibit an extraordinary work ethic, high intellectual pursuit, and are promising scholars who will make important contributions to the world. It has been a privilege to work with them as members of the Rogers Honors Academy.
