[57] Abstract:

This application describes a means of reducing the economic cost of operating an air conditioner and provides added desirable features for room comfort control such as temperature, humidity, and scrubber for room air pollution. The economic benefits are significant but more importantly addresses the issue of global warming and climate change. The heat exchanger uses environmentally friendly water as refrigerant and the resulting topology provides a much needed air pollution conditioning for the room air with the scrubber functionality. The heat exchangers applies two phase change on the condenser and direct contact on the evaporator resulting in low energy use. The water refrigerant and room air are circulated closed loop in the system. The equipment could be a demonstration of the feared runaway climate changes. The application addresses the use of energy with the reduction of global warming gas contributions, reduction of energy and comfort control of room humidity.

[57] Abstract:

This invention (rectangular, circular, triangular or square or any geometric shape) relates to wastewater management system, more particularly a wastewater drying bed, with minimum self-cleansing gradients, which is effective in treating, separating or decanting water from sludge using the excess Oxygen and Nitrogen gasses from the Aeration & Nitrification/ Denitrification processes. The decanting glass gate contains alternating plates to facilitate the filling & emptying of the invention and the decanting of water at multiple levels within the sludge, with a sump located at the front wall to facilitate the efficient removal of the decanted liquor from the bed, if required. LED lights are installed inside the frame to indicate the separation of sludge from the underlying clear water. Magnets are attached to the decanting gate frame to repel heavy metals back into the drying bed. The invention is modular in design. It can be constructed insitu, precast or precast/post-tensioned. It can accommodate a solar panel and UV sterilization. Future sludges may be incinerated or converted into granular activated carbon or disposed on land for agricultural purposes. The depth of the tank at c1.25metres ensures that anaerobic conditions will not occur. Thus, no odours. These future processes of LED lights, Magnets, Incineration, GAC creation and rice straw ash will be subject to further Process (c) Patents, if they cannot be accommodated with this application.

[57] Abstract:

The invention relates to the use of a rotating flat, thin circular disk to cut polyhedrally sided shapes and patterns in flat plate work pieces. The rotating disk can have a serrated sharp edge or be coated with hard abrasive particles and is oriented with its axis of rotation parallel to the flat plates. The cutting action is done by the thin circumference of the disk. A novel system is therefore created to accomplish this task with the use of a round vertical support column, two parallel horizontal arms, a breaking mechanism to control vertical motion, rotary tool attached to a flexible cable, a turntable attached to two perpendicular linear track mechanisms, and a sample platform with a vacuum chuck plate that can move with the turntable.

The computer implemented method is implemented on a the parts: (a) marked socket adapter, (b) sense-capable outlet, (c)a power consumption analyzer, and (d) a controller with an indicator. The socket adapter recognizes the identification of the adapter connected based on the marking via using the sensing transducer and the controller. The flow of electricity will be controlled towards the equipment using the marked adapter. The entire detection process can bypassed by a security sensor. Finally, a separate indicator displays power consumption of the loaded electric equipment utilizing the outlet and other related information for management and monetization purposes.

[57] Abstract:

A method for gasification of unsegregated waste, biomass, sludge, waste plastic or waste tires to produce gas, energy and fuel, which method comprises: gasification of unsegregated waste, biomass, sludge, waste plastic or waste tires feed in an inert, oxygen-free atmosphere, in an endothermic thermolysis reaction chamber in a rotary kiln to thus gasify the same in the absence of substantial by-production of liquid reaction products. The thermolysis chamber comprising a dense bed of solid waste output and process gas. The heat energy required for said thermolysis reaction being generated by a heater outside the thermolysis chamber. The process gas is led to a condensator to separate the permanent gas from the liquid output. The thermolysis method can be combined with a generator system to use the passive heat energy for energy production.

[57] Abstract:

A solar-powered installation consists of a number of solar panels, a charge controller, a number of storage batteries and a power inverter, all inter-connected to supply 'free' electricity to power selected LOADs (appliances and/or lighting). In a properly designed solar installation, the size of the solar panels, batteries, and selected LOAD are carefully matched to maximize usage of available solar energy, and longest usable battery life. Power to the (selected) LOAD is manually transferred between the solar system's INVERTER and the electric mains (MERALCO) through a manual TRANSFER SWITCH. The LOAD is switched to the INVERTER when the batteries are sufficiently charged, and then switched back to MERALCO when battery charge drops below 50%. This monitoring of switching condition is usually performed by a member of the household, requiring time spent on mornings (switching to INVERTER) and afternoons (switching to MERALCO). In case of sudden rains or such similar conditions that will block the sun, LOAD should likewise be transferred to MAINS, otherwise an unattended battery shall be discharged or likely damaged. An electronic transfer SWITCH interposed between the selected LOAD and the two alternative power sources (INVERTER or MERALCO) shall automate the timing and actual switching between the two power sources, thus eliminating the need for manual monitoring/intervention to perform such function. Suitable components allow usage of this invention for LOADS up to 3000 watts. In addition, the invention provides the option to automatically switch the LOAD to the INVERTER in case of power outage or brown-out. There is no product available that gives this invention's functionality, aside from the following benefits: A. No need to monitor sunlight conditions before transferring LOAD to the Inverter (Solar). B. No need to monitor battery discharge condition before transferring LOAD to the Mains (Meralco). C. Electronic sensors provide the necessary switching parameters for automatic switchover 24/7. D. Consumes less than .02 amps DC when LOAD is at Mains and 0.1 Amp DC when LOAD is at Inverter.

[57] Abstract:

Biosurfactant produced by yeast are widely used in various fields such as biomedicine, agriculture, food and cosmetic industry. Biosurfactant production process and culture conditions is already known however, the used of expensive culture medium components in the production of biosurfactant like sophorolipids (SL) from yeast is not an assurance for better production yield at the end of culture period. In addition, biosurfactant from the yeast like Candida bombicola is known of having generally regarded as safe (GRAS) status and also gaining positive attention because of its biodegradability and as a non-toxic substitute to chemical surfactant. The present invention relates to liquid culture medium added with dried mango peel powder as culture component of Candida bombicola BCRC22302 to produce sophorolipid (SL) biosurfactant.
