Please advise on any Mandatory Base Building Trades. Answer: Knells Hardware will be the Hardware Consultant for Peel Regional Police on this project. Refer to 20.3 Clarifications to Specifications of Addendum 1.

2. Question:

Reference to detail 5/A7-2 is showing only low cabinets, while detail 6001-1 is showing low and high cabinets, please advise which we have to follow. Answer: Refer to millwork detail 5/A7-2 in Room 109 for correct detail. There will not be any upper cabinets.

3. Question: Reference to millwork note # 4, details 6001-1, 60011-3, and 6001-4, please specify the material. Answer: There is no backsplash for millwork on this project. Therefore, there will be no material provided.

4. Question:

Reference note 20, drawing A2-1, please provide the scope and specifications of Eye wash/shower.

Answer: Refer to drawing M8-1, Plumbing Fixture Schedule, for details of eye wash/shower.

5. Question:

Reference to the Millwork Detail 9/A7-1 @ room 139, is showing only low cabinets, while detail 6001-4 is showing low and high cabinets, please advise which we have to follow. Answer: Refer to millwork detail 9/A7-1 in Room 139 for correct detail. There will not be any upper cabinets.

6. Question:

Appendix 5.11 detail 9001-2, 9001-3, 9002-1 and 9003-2 is showing two layers of gypsum board, while drawing A2-1, the wall types is showing one layer of gypsum board, please clarify? Answer: Refer to drawing A2-1 for wall types. All walls should only have one layer of gypsum board on each side of stud.

7. Question: Appendix 5.11 detail 9001 is showing adhesively applied acoustical tile on gypsum board channel, please provide the drawing showing the extent of this detail. Answer: The section: Adhesively Applied Acoustic Tile, Detail 9001 of Appendix 5.11 is a standard detail that does not apply to this project.

8. Question:

In the specifications, in the “Structured Cabling” section, it refers to the “Peel Regional Police Network Cabling Infrastructure Specifications” document, however this document doesn’t seem to be included in the specs. Can we please get a copy. Answer: Refer to Appendix 5.13 - Peel Regional Police Network Cabling Infrastructure Specifications.

9. Question:

We are reviewing this project and in regards to the Hardware (08 70 00) there is reference to an Appendix 6.15 in section 1.2.2. I do not see this schedule in the documents, could you please advise?

Answer: Refer to 20.4.2 of Addendum 1.

10. Question: Please provide clarifications on the cash allowance for $75,000 (Interior alterations to swing space) – what is the scope of work this allowance covers? Answer: The Interior Alterations to Swing Space included in the Cash Allowance is for fixing approx. 38sm of existing space in the adjacent building to function as temporary storage for the AFIS filing cabinets. Scope of work include, but is not limited to:

• removal of existing door and filling-in of this door opening with masonry to match existing,

• demolition of interior partition to create one open space, • new floor finishes, and • new paint finish and re-work ceiling grids.

This will need to be completed prior to Phase 2 to facilitate move management.

11. Question: Are automatic door operators included in cash allowance?

Answer: Yes, automatic door operators are included as part of the cash allowance.

12. Question: Mott / Mott Lab – is this an approved alternative for lab casework suppliers? Answer: Yes, Mott Lab is an approved alternative for laboratory casework suppliers.

13. Question:

Please clarify dates and scope for phasing of the project. Answer: Upon execution of contract, we are anticipating to start construction by mid-May 2019. Refer to A1-1 for delineation of Phase 1 and Phase 2 construction and Clarification 20.1.1 in this Addendum for anticipated duration for each phase of construction.

14. Question: Re: Roller Window Shades – 12 24 13 Drawings indicate window shades on west wall of Open Office 109 as code 30 but the height or the configuration of the windows are not shown, please provide the height. Answer: The overall total of window length in Open Office 109 and Mugshot Coordinator Office 110 is 23.7m, the window height is 1.5m.

15. Question: Can you please provide the dimensions and interior elevation of the existing windows that will receive new window shades? Answer: See answer to question #14 in Addendum 1.

16. Question:

In regards to the fire extinguisher, the specifications calls for surface mounted extinguisher cabinet but on the drawing A2-1 it says to be recessed, how should we proceed? Answer: Refer to the specifications for the correct mounting type.

17. Question: Note that room 109 on drawing A2-1 doesn't have a door. Answer: Please see attached sketch SKA-01- Room 109. Also note, clarification 20.5 of Addendum 1.

18. Question: Please provide specifications and details for the 50 person mail sorter as noted on drawing A2-1 note #23. Answer: Refer to specification section 06 20 00.

19. Question: Is there a base building sprinkler contractor we should carry for this tender? Can you also provide base building sprinkler drawings in order to price the sprinkler head modifications?
